With the evergrowing amount of posts flooding the Melee, Hacks, and you thread its about time we made a new one.

I'll compile everything I have so far into one neat .rar all compressed nicely for everyone to download later this month.

In the meantime here are some links for threads.

Btw by now everyone should know how to use GC-Tool to add textures to their Melee ISOs.

If not please refer to this thread and hit ctrl-f for "texture hacks"...you'll find the information you need for creating and adding textures to your ISOs.

Now for the part everyone was waiting for...

I'll try to make it look cleaner, and so on.

No prob Slox, if the original Melee, Hacks, and You thread could link my thread to the first post that'd be rad so heads would know where to look w/ sifting through sh** all day long.

I added more links and shiz. I think the most arduous task will be linking each and every texture hack for teh characters on IL itself. I'll try to do it tomorrow since nothing happens on Sundays, except random smashfests in NYC.

Heh, just when I was beginning to think the hacking scene was dying down; the original thread's been pretty inactive lately.

Anyways, cool thread. There's actually a whole bunch of textures that can be found throughout the other thread, that aren't listed here. I might gather up the links and post 'em, if I have time/am not too lazy. (Unless someone else wants to ) ^^

i wouldn't mind going through the thread and finding whatever i can. Perhaps i'll do that later today? Might i also suggest that rather than just saying the name of the file that the hack replaces, you let people know what color is actually being replaced. For example, CaBu means captain falcon's blue costume or something like that just to give people who haven't read through the other thread an easier time with selecting hacks that they want for whichever costume. I know a lot of people have mentioned creating a teams friendly texture hacked ISO and this kind of organization would help out a lot i think

If I can get all the filenames of the .dat files for the characters and each color that is being replaced that would be pretty sexy. Since its July 4th and there are BBQs galore right now in NYC I can't do that today, but I'll get to it ASAP!

OOOMG we're making progress! I added Rykard's post to the first post, I'll get to everyone else's ASAP! Btw, I found the link to the Yellow Falco w/ Red Jacket, I happened to have it on my desktop pc so I uploaded it on megaupload for everyone! ^_^_^.

i PMed a couple people asking if they still had the textures somewhere and the links to them so hopefully i get responses soon. i'll also take some pictures of the hacks that i have that you don't have pictures for right now. BTW D1, for future reference, you can easily get the links to the pictures by right clicking and clicking copy image address or something similar to that (i have a mac so it's probably different for other people).

Also, thank you Gardevior for finding that picture :)

I know I just liked the way you had everything sexily formatted, so I wanted to retain everything including the text and whatnot, anyways time to add more goodies to the first post!

That texture may have a pallet, allowing for transparency in places. Thus you can make the whole thing transparent.

Does anyone have the textures for the White Captain falcon color? S. Didn't have it on her site. Or are those textures in the same positions as another color (Like ganons stuff).

There will definitely be a full pack! Now that I have one done, it's just a matter of swapping colors, and thanks to the power of CS5, it'll be easy. I'm planning on doing the whole (original) team of rangers. It'll fall nicely with Falcon's colors in melee: Blue, Red, Yellow, Pink, Black, Green! Maybe a white ranger costume for captains pink color as well. I'll just have to get the full hacks of Falcon done. Don't wanna sift through the massive amount of textures that Dolphin dumps right now. (Unless you've done that and haven't posted it on IL yet).

Ack, sorry about that. Been coming to grips with some IRL issues that have REALLY slowed down my hacking (haven't done anything with textures for nearly a month!).
But trust me, I've been planning something that SHOULD cover my absence a little. And with people unlocking the secrets of vertices in Melee, it'll be interesting to see where things are going.

Hey everyone I would like a video on how to change the textures of the file _9 and _8 because the video on youtube doesn't explain on how to do it. Furthermore, I would love it if we could get a .rar file with everyone's texture but I know dumping the files takes forever :-( but I guess I have to be patience about it.

I don't know how to put up a picture of my recreation on here(quit I know) but if anyone wants to see my G.Bowser it will be worth your while. The best description I can give is that he is suppose to be half metal and half reptile with a nice looking black glove on one hand(Yeah I know I didn't expect that either when I made him).
If someone could put up a picture of him for me that would be great.
