Umebura Niconico Qualifiers - Largest Smash 4 Event In Japanese History!

What if we said the largest Smash for Wii U tournament that Japan has ever hosted is this weekend? What if we also said the top 3 players from this event automatically qualify for the Nintendo-sponsored niconico Championship in January of 2016? The stakes are sure to be high at this special Umebura tournament taking place this weekend!

With a record breaking number of 320 competitors it is no surprise the talent for the event is also coming at a massive scale! With Genesis 3 having 22 Japanese players registered, this may be one of the best opportunities to see the best of what the country has to offer before the event. Here are some of the players to keep an eye on while watching!

Hayato. :4tlink: Has wins over Rain and 9B. Possibly the best Toon Link in the world.
#THE Abadango :4pacman::4metaknight::rosalina: The famous Pac-Main that has won the hearts of many fans!
Pichi :4falcon: Won a tournament at Waseda University over Umeki & Nietono. One of several strong Japanese Falcon players.
Choco :4zss: Finished 3rd at Umebura F.A.T. Frequently ranked among Japan's best.
Komorikiri :4sonic: Arguably the best Sonic. He finished 2nd at Umebura F.A.T., KUSF, and KSB
Daiki :4megaman::4diddy: One of Japan's top MM players.
Umeki :4peach: Top Peach who beat Rain at Umebura F.A.T.
Brood :4duckhunt: Top Duck Hunt, though he plays more Splatoon now.
Ranai :4villager: Japan's best and most consistent player. Only placed outside of top 8 at Umebura F.A.T.
Salena/Sarena :4metaknight: A Skilled Meta Knight player although hasn't placed high since Umebura 16.
Shu :4sheik: High-level Sheik. Finished 2nd at Umebura 19 beating Rain.
Nietono :4sheik::4diddy::4fox::4falcon: Japan's jack-of-all-trades who often sandbags.
Rain :4sheik: The former best player who has somewhat fallen off. Got Top 8 at KUSF.
Songun :4gaw: A Strong Game and Watch player who has been DQ'd from recent events for being late.
Shogun :4fox:Strong Diddy-turned-Fox main. Attended APEX 2014 for Brawl.
Earth :4pit: Best Pit in the world with recent victories over Rain and 9B. Tends to finish 9th.
9B :4ryu: The legendary Brawl Ice Climbers player! He broke out with Ryu at Umebura F.A.T. but has finished disappointingly low since.
Kirihara :rosalina: Japan's best Rosalina. Finished 4th at Umebura F.A.T.

Some :4greninja: One of the best Greninja ains in the world. Got Top 16 at Umebura F.A.T. and Top 6 at Umebura 19.

Shoutouts to nintendo for having an invitation event with the community rules in japan and giving north america a party tourny filled with items and 4 man free for all lmao . . .

Edit: see Jucchan's response below.

rule

Single game / stock system two
 -time limit six minutes
, two lien (qualifying one lien)
 Double elimination method
 item: No
 key configuration: Yes
 customization / Mii: No
 Pause Function: None
 - GameCube controller only use Allowed

Best of 1? That's no good. That's bad. It's thoroughly un-competitive. It's lame. It's jank. Every other word here.
Thank goodness it's at least double elimination. And not an item-fest FFA. :D

That's a bad translation. It says:
Singles/2 stocks
6 min
Bo3, Bo1 in pools (Round Robin)
Double Elim

If anyone has a link to a recorded video of the stream, especially Earth's time in the tourney, I'd be grateful.
Maybe Djent Djent ?
Unfortunately I have a cold and slept in. *_*
In any case, can't wait for the Nintendo sponsored championships.

The listed time is wrong, the tournament hasn't happened yet.

Its only been a year since the game released. When you say "Biggest Smash 4 event in Japanese History" you are trying to make it sound like it has this legacy behind it.
