I'm not ready, man. I'm gonna watch the first two to get ready, remind me of why i'm here.

I remember the emotions I felt when I saw the first one as an 8 year old kid, it awakened my true creativity. It's fitting that the series ends the year I become an adult.
That's actually really cool; you got to truly grow up with a franchise, reaching adulthood around the same time the franchise reaches it's end. That's really something else.

Oof, that's rough buddy. Whether you see it now or six months later, I know it'll be worth it!
It definitely will be. I am hoping my wait for it won't be too long, but we'll see. The result will probably be the six month-long wait.

Any company that respects my boi and doesn't wish for him to lose a battle against Ridley is good in my book :yoshi:
I respect Yoshi, and I also respect Ridley.

My respect for the Puiff is greater than both combined, though. :ultjigglypuff:

I was listening to a podcast recently that made a very interesting point: the development studio of a game means very little, really, because that doesn't communicate who's actually working on the game.

Most of the major talent at BioWare who made their older games are no longer there. Most of the major talent at Rare who made their older games are no longer there. Most of the major talent at Blizzard who made their older games are no longer there. Most of the major talent at Bungie who were responsible for Halo's success are no longer there. Most of the major talent at Retro Studios who worked on the Prime games are no longer there. The list goes on.

The gaming industry is unique in this regard, since in movies, it's usually about the names of the people working on it, rather than the production studio. Same thing with TV shows, comics, books, etc. There's specific names not only attached, but explicitly advertised. The gaming industry doesn't do this. To find out who's actually working on a game, you have to dig that information up.

So when a game is developed by a particular studio, it doesn't mean it's the same people. It just means they're the ones who hold the license to the intellectual property.
I've understood that for a while, but it's still gonna feel like the end of an era when EA inevitably shuts BioWare down for lackluster performance. Even if the people who worked on them aren't working there anymore, I loved the Mass Effect Trilogy and the earlier Dragon Age games, and it was a shame to see the quality of their stuff drop off over the last few years.

Green **** Monster...

can’t wait to watch that part of the game
I'm sorry, EA, but for an AAA game released in 2019, this is not okay. Like... at all...
This is EA you’re talking about...no point in thinking anything they do is meant to ever be ok
Then that as a victory pose so we can see more, a closeup of the hair flip and sparkles in the victory pose. Maybe something featuring Pit ruffling his own hair so cutely like does at the end of chapter 4? Maybe as an idle pose? Seriously, he's just precious. He also has great expressions.

This is also cute. Him looking around would make a good idle animation.
Just add more Pit stuff to Smash in general honestly
I'm no longer the 69th most liked user. Aw shucks... :yoshi:
you’ll regain that award next year

But nowhere near as powerful as Miyamoto-san bringing dangerous weapons on stage with him at public live events:

Man, that's what I miss about E3. There used to be cool and wacky stuff like this. As nice as Nintendo Directs are, and as awkward as E3 2008 was for Nintendo, I still miss the live stage presentations. Xbox, PlayStation, and everyone else's presentations are just so sterile compared to what Nintendo used to do.

I actually don't think BioWare is getting shut down. It's an idea that's commonly passed around because:

1) Mass Effect Andromeda flopped
2) EA shut down Visceral Games

The debt for ME: Andromeda has already been paid. That was developed by BioWare Montreal, who before were mainly responsible for ME3's (great) multiplayer. They don't really exist anymore because of how they screwed up Andromeda, and have been dissolved and absorbed into other studios throughout EA. Many of them were turned to work on Battlefront II that year.

Visceral was shut down, but the only notable thing they did before that was Dead Space, which isn't that big a franchise in the grand scheme of things. After that, they made Battlefield: Hardline, which didn't do too well. They were then closed down because their Star Wars game was too linear, like Uncharted, when every major game on the market is open-world, so how is a studio like Visceral, who makes linear single-player games, supposed to make any money? Unfortunately, that's just where we're at right now. Open-world, nonlinear game design is what every game needs to have now. AAA linear experiences aren't as marketable, unless your name is Naughty Dog.

Prior to that, the only other studio EA "shut down" in recent years was Danger Close Games, who made the two Medal of Honor games from 2010 and 2012 that no one really cared about. But even they weren't fully shut down, just rebranded as DICE Los Angeles and worked as a support studio for Battlefield, where they've done an amazing job cleaning up DICE's games after launch.

But BioWare has Dragon Age, Mass Effect, and now Anthem. Major games with huge fanbases unlike any of the studios EA has closed down. They're one of their tentpole studios alongside DICE and whoever makes their sports games. For them to close down BioWare would be to actually cut off one of their whole limbs, rather than just a finger or toe. Compared to Visceral, Danger Close, or any of the other studios that got closed down in the past, BioWare is leagues above that, and they'd sooner restructure the company than shut it down entirely.

CS:GO is a stressful game. When you really start getting into it, at least.

But hey, I'm not horrible at it anymore, so it's slightly less stressful and more fun, now.

Oh, bacon time's over? Already.

Oh well. At least it ended off with a bang...or a bam:

Can't believe that that I still remember seeing this clip during the very early days of my childhood.

Sign me up for more precious Pit. Honestly, I woulda did this if I had power:

-More KI songs which include more remixes (some from the original and OM&M)
-Phosphora and Medusa being playable, both with their own unique victory theme as well
-Pit and Pittoo get a second full-fledged moveset featuring different main weapons (with a Blade and Ogre Club respectively). You can choose between the movesets only through the character selection screen. I almost wanna say a 3rd full-fledged moveset featuring Pit with an EZ Cannon and Pittoo with like a Violet Palm.
-Add an Underworld-themed stage
-More KI spirits, not to mention a KI spirit event to include some of these new spirits.

That among other things actually.

Be careful for what you wish because I feel an inflation Mario coming.
Oh wait, no, that's already canon
*SM64 DS power up theme intensifies*

Just saw the posts about Anthem's loading times. How does that even happen? Like, did they even try to optimize it?

It even goes back to Super Mario World...

Hell, my boi has TWO distinct inflation abilities (three if you count the hot-air balloon transformation) :yoshi:

Somewhere out there on this big blue marble
So I saw the news that Sakurai decided Mementos, which is rather infamous among fans for being boring despite being a rather major location, would be a better stage choice than the opening casino, the thing that even in real life is made to be aesthetically pleasing
