Yes, this is real. After a long hiatus from the scene, it's time to do what I always wanted and run my own tournament. Let's find out who the new best player in Perth is! $100 entry, winner takes all. Venue details will be updated over the coming weeks. If you have a suggestion for the venue, it would be most welcome. The rules are as follows:
1. The tournament is limited to the first 16 entrants that pre-register or register on the day, whichever comes first.
2. Pre-registration opens October 30th, 2021. Details on how you can pre-register will be provided at that time.
3. A $25, non-refundable deposit is required for pre-registration and to secure your place in the tournament with the balance to be paid in cash on the day.
4. If less than 16 entrants show up on the day, the event will continue as planned and the prize money will remain unchanged.
5. Standard tournament rules apply.
6. This tournament is open to Perth residents only. You will need to provide proof that you live in Perth to be granted entry to the venue on the day.
7. We will be using an unseeded standard 16-player bracket.
8. Anyone not directly participating in the event as a competitor will not be permitted in the venue.
9. The prize money will be distributed to the winner in full on the day as a cash payment only.
10. An attempt will be made to secure a venue with wheelchair access. If you have further special accessibility requirements, please indicate as such in your pre-registration and every effort will be made to accommodate you.
11. This list may be added to or updated as required.
This is a family-friendly event. Children will be present. We have a zero tolerance approach to individuals engaging in anti-social behaviour of any sort (including excessive swearing). Offenders will be disqualified, their entry fee will be forfeit and they will be escorted off the premises. By registering for this event you agree to these terms.
