Wiltshire's GOAT
In January 2015, we are hosting a speedrun/ tournament marathon in Aldbourne, Wiltshire, UK. Anyone can come as long as you have transport arrangements, and have a Gamecube controller!
We're going to go for two days in a rented out building with two floors. One of the days is going to be filled with speedruns of your favorite games, such as Zelda: Ocarina of Time to be beaten in under 30 minutes, Skyrim in under an hour, and plenty of other games! The other day is going to be a day with non-stop tournaments and team tournaments in Melee, Brawl, Smash 4 and other fighting games like Mortal Kombat 9, Tekken 3, Soul Calibur 2, etc. We're even doing double teams in Halo 2.
What you will need to have:
Gamecube controller
Xbox 360 controller (optional)
If you have it, a 3DS and Smash
£5 entry fee (this gives you a pass for both days)
Console and TV for practice (again entirely optional, we will have spare space and tables so you can practice)
We're all still on basic levels of Smash Bros, but we have a few people that are learning to get better at Smash, and it'd be interesting to see more people come along to show off their Smash skills The winner will also receive a prize!
The exact dates for this marathon have yet to be confirmed, it will probably be somewhere in the middle of January, but it will definitely be in January on a weekend. I will release more details like the date, postcode, schedule and opening times, etc.
