After hours of reading around the web and asking people on Discord I've almost managed to get an extra character slot, i'm using Brawl EX + Project M. The custom character I downloaded is " http://fav.me/da1kh3z " a Naruto mod.
I've placed all the mod files where they are supposed to go, but nothing showed up on the char select menu. Apparently I was supposed to edit the CSSRoster.dat in order to add another slot. so I added 0x59, which is the number the mod had.

I have NO idea why it reads Dark Samus, even if I name it different. Also the box with the red P1 circle, its grey, I dunno why its like that too. And worst of all when I get into a match after 3, 2, 1, GO it crashes, also all the character's icons are missing, like the stock icon.
What do I do?
