Went to my first PM tourney of the summer last night, SG 7.1.

Placed 5th, knocked SoL and Spaz into losers, and I beat Risky clean in a shirtless Lucario ditto mm. Keep an eye out for me ;]

SG is gonna be incredibly stacked over the summer, what with the returning players, the old players, and the up-and-comers. Maybe someone will finally either
A) Eliminate Darc before Grand Finals, or even
B) Take a tournament off of him. He hasn't lost one yet, in state or the one time he went OOS.

I personally believe I should be on this list for sonic. Top 50 at shots fired, 17th at the last ktar featuring pm, and recently got 4th at a tournament with seagull joe and pink fresh.

Frizz won our sets. He's a pretty underrated player in general; he wins basically every local event he goes to if Darkrain isn't there (and he usually isn't). Also lol I need to stop freaking SDing during my last stock.

Also @ Vino. Vino. this thread is designed for sharing videos of high-level play, you won't really be considered for a spot until you post some vids.

Understandable, I don't have many recorded games. I understand though, just more motivation then.^.^

Norcal had a pm regional so here's lots of Socal footage feat Sethlon. we missed a lot of top 16 on stream though because while the venue is really cool its not that flexible on time so we had to get most of the games off stream even though there were hella other good games

haha results and footage are there. he just needs to travel and beat more than just the KCMO people. Frizz is hella good.

I've already posted at least 2-3 sets of Frizz beating me. I'm pretty sure the only reason people don't know about Frizz is because of how little he travels.

Alright, I took a hiatus from this thread because life is seriously getting in the way and updating this thread takes a lot of time surprisingly. I'll revive this thread once I think it won't be detrimental to my health (hopefully soon, but I've been saying that for a while now), and I'll probably be changing the way I manage this thread in order to compensate.


But the real reason I'm making this post is because of this: I am in a place where I do not have access to a GC, a Wii, an adequate computer to play Dolphin, nor a decent TV. Because of this, I have not touched 3.6 yet, also partly due to the fact that I'm pretty busy.

In other words, I haven't touched 3.6 yet.

So, with that in mind, please give me an absolute NO BULL-**** response, and don't try to make me feel better. Please give me a very honest answer.

For version 3.6, are the differences between 3.5 and 3.6 enough to warrant another thread?


Thanks guys. I would've given this up a long time ago, but you guys have really helped me get along this far. Thank you guys so much.

A full other thread? Don't think so. And even if you were to make another thread, you should probably wait for 3.6 full release. Don't know what changes they'll put through.

Nah, I wouldn't say it warrants a new thread. I don't expect many main-switches this time around.

Save this thread and paste it in a new thread for reference. Then slowly replace vids from 3.5 -> 3.6. Then once every video from 3.5 has been replaced rename the thread. Make sure to label which version the game is though.

there are a few characters that are pretty different but mayb just sub sections for the thread. Would be confusing to some extent if a playstyle is much different and im trying to learn and watching 3.5 videos.

Example would be lucario / Olimar. Others that got major changes.

Either way your amazing and I appreciate all your hard work.

Ok so looking around here, I see Stoks isnt on here. arguably the best Mario here in the south. Definitely better than Erasmorpheous* and has gotten mad praise from Gallo.

He has beaten Myself, Dad, FlashingFire, Zeej, Jitty, CP9, Sparking Zero, Odds, Double. taken a game off of Machiavelli (will edit this more when I talk to him today)

I'll be dipping in and out, but I probably won't be as thorough as I was before.

I'll save the template of this current 3.5 thread. I'll italicize 3.6 videos, and I'll outright delete DDD sections, Bowser sections, and Olimar sections because of their massive changes. If there are any sections that need full deletion because of the massive changes, please notify me.


ALSO I WOULD REALLY PREFER IT IF PEOPLE WOULD FORMAT THEIR LINKS LIKE THIS:

YOUTUBE LINK (vs [OPPONENT], [CHARACTER]/[CHARACTER USED IN SET], [NAME OF TOURNAMENT, ONLY WRITE IF TOURNAMENT IS A MAJOR OR BIG REGIONAL])

So for example:

I don't know if you should delete stuff, seems like we should keep it around for archival purposes. New thread is a better idea imo (3.6 beta and full could be in the same thread though).
