Your point is valid. They aren't the same. They looks very close though. And I believe Marth will not make Brawl because of this. There are going to people who don't know the history of games and won't be able to say "They aren't the same because..." The game so far is noob-friendly and I think this will prove my point even more. Black Knight, Miciah, and Hector all are unique and I think have a better chance.

And you can say Mario/Luigi/Doc Mario all look the same but they aren't as close and if you are picking up a Smash game you should know about them.

Ridiculous - Marth should at minimum be very likely, more accurately a shoe-in, and Roy is definitely below 50/50. Then theres Bowser Jr and Wolf in very likely; Ashley, Paper Mario, Dark Samus, Balloon Fighter, "Mask Link," and Tails (WTF!) in good chance, and Black Knight and Vaati at 50/50, all of which are overrated (in some cases, such as Tails and Black Knight, vastly). Captain Olimar is too low too. Others are arguable too, and I won't even go into the "other" list, as its largely a joke. Plus Zero Suit Samus was completely forgotten in the confirmed list, and Sheik is completely absent.

Yeah, quite a mess, to say the least.

True, but Zero Suit Samus should at least be acknowledged as a part of Samus, and Sheik, while a part of Zelda, is still a character with a chance of appearing. Since she cannot be put as a part of Zelda until shes confirmed, she may as well be listed on her own.

I think Marth has a greater chance than those characters, easily...especially Black Knight (though I think he looks cool) simply because he was in the last game and he had his own unique moveset (unlike roy). I think Ike is more like Roy's replacement than Marth's. I don't know, I just think Marth is too big in the smash community to abandon. But then again they did do that with Ness, but I'm pretty sure Marth is more important to the fire emblem series than Ness was to Earthbound (though I could be wrong).

And you can say Mario/Luigi/Doc Mario all look the same but they aren't as close and if you are picking up a Smash game you should know about them.

Dr. Mario deserves a spot as much as Roy does imo; Not at all. And yes, I know all about them, but I don't think we needed a doc mario even though I felt he was better than mario. Luigi is different enough to be his own character, not to mention luigi is classic. Imo Doc, Roy, Pichu, and Young link do not need to return.

Phoenix Wright is kinda like Tom Nook, Hes popular, but he isn't wright for a fighting game, I could be wrong, but like picture him going up to Bowser and saying, "I would like you to know that what you just did to that plumer was a federal offence", Good bye Phoenix. I can see him making it as a AT, because they have more Joke kinda guys there like Dr. Wright who summons Sky Srcapers
