edit @ Paperst: if you **** up and piss off the wrong mod the wrong way, you'll end up IP-banned like EEvisu was for so long...any time he made a new account, I believe if he posted from his IP address it would throw a red flag up and bam, account gone...

It wasn't very feasible to use that setup @ WABA due to low bandwidth (methinks Min is not rocking the T3 connection I have ) for the livestream. There were several connection drops during the course of the stream with a Dazzle for pete's Sake! My PVR probably would be outputting a ridiculous amount of bandwidth if it was hooked up--which reminds me. The last time I bought it there (WABA monthlies in Aug) the Component cables would output the display on my monitor, but not on the TV. Additionally, both systems were Cubes & not Wiis, which I don't have the Component Cables for. Hence, I used the Powershot.

Knowing how peeps (including myself) weren't exactly entralled with hanging on to Chibo's every character on Twitter during Genesis, and that livestreams have been run in WABA in the past, and that Min & FullMetal probably thought it would bring in more Buzz for the tourney (which it probably did), that's why there was a livestream.

My sentiments are more like yours though. Higher quality, faster uploaded videos beat a livestream any day of the week.

Teran17 people here are talking about the tourney, pics and vids. Don't come here acting like you're the man cause this isn't the place for it. A forum is supposed to be about open discussion. Nothing was spam, people were on the same topic discussing the tournament pics and the violations received from em. Some might have jumped on the band wagon but majority of us were just laughing about it. Something about seeing mods I never heard of in my life going to a tournament that doesn't make sense. People laugh and talk, it's not always on topic. Even the thread maker was in the discussion and put the pic links on the first page. Yeah this is mainly a video thread but in all honesty what is the big deal with hounding the pics? At first I thought it was cause I was clowning on M2K in my first post but then everyone and their mother got an infraction. You do nothing but make the boards look bad when you attack the community. Even though Chibo wasn't diggin the dissidence from his infractions he knows what the scene is like and wasn't beasting cause it wasn't necessary. Same with Arc, Dogy and MikeG in other threads. They're active mods, I've gotten infractions from all, but don't try beasting cause it's of no use to hurt the community. These are mods who understand that the next tourney, wether or not the person is on the boards, he is gonna be there. Keep in mind most the people in this thread have met and talk of the tournament is going to come up. That is what has made these boards successful. If you think this is crazy spam then you should have seen the boards before the character specific and video forums were up.

Tomorrow no one will be talking about those old pics cause, A) Amber is cute but she still has all her clothes on and B) M2K already made it to peoples avatars and sigs so that awesome pic is already a hit. Getting on some tryna ban people **** doesn't help the community at all. If your concern is not helping the community then that's a slap to my face. I've hosted tournaments, housed other smashers, put up indepth guides and continue to improve em and get the community involved. Not only in my projects but in others peoples and if something like a pic in a video thread starts getting people booted then that's when you're using the guidelines to put stress on a healthy community. I can level with you to an extent but unless you're getting paid to mod I don't see the point in coming through tryna be a super mod.
