Is there any way you can DI from the first hit of Up Tilt or F Tilt so you don't get hit with the 2nd hit?
Liek...... Up-tilt's first two hits are basically the same hit. I wonder how many frames are between them, maybe just one or two? It'd be theoretically possible to SDI out of that but very freaking unlikely, but the first kick does give enough hitlag/time to SDI away from the second.

Ftilt..... hmm, again it'd be real tricky, the first hit has barely any knockback at all, it's more of an extra bonus for hitting real close lol. I dunno if you could effectively SDI out of the second hit; although it could prolly happen at real (un)lucky spacing.

That'd be my guess, anyway.

Oh! and I totally take back what I said about Up-tilt earlier in this thread.

I LOVE UP-TILT! I was at my smashfest tonight, and I started using it, a lot, intentionally. Wow! It's like a whole part of my game was missing before. I used to use SH Uair in places where it would leave me vulnerable, and might even miss. Up-Tilt is amazing for anti-air, and even if you predict a roll towards you... times when I might've used Fsmash or Ftilt, but Utilt is as strong as uncharged Fsmash, and it's more defensive as far as the hitbox is concerned.

AND it doesn't have the 20% knockback penalty if you get hit while charging a smash, lol.

I'd love to see the hitbox/hurtbox sizes during Utilt.... I think it leaves our hurtbox really protected! And Utilt seems.... more disjointed than I'd thought :p

Really?

We need to look into this. We may have found a valuable gem of a move.

Meh, it just covers a huge vertical hitbox, but unlike FSmash I am skeptical as to if it has a hitbox at Sonic's Body. It's still pretty good to cover yourself at a 65 degree angle in the front.

Seriously though, when opponents roll a little bit behind or into me and I release FSmash, it's all like "Shawnik Pawnch!!"

And when you're above someone, you use Dair, and you yell "Shawnik Kick!!"

Seriously though, I was just doing some testing against some CPUs (yeah yeah, I know) and Utilt is a great anti air attack, specifically against Peach.

That's too good BB, also nice avi.

We got this around sometime ago though, most likely in Roy's moveset discussion thread, but I'm telling you the horizontal range is a bit-below average, and has some crazy disjointedness at Sonic's shoes.

And the Zelda boards think they have something going on with their lightning heels.

\i alwqays do the dash attach and when the ending connects(similar to Ant's combo) I utilt instead and I use it on many other occasions.
I do something like that at times. When I hit my opponent with a dash attack, I sometimes followup with a ftilt if they pop up behind me.

Should we ask to get this closed? The original intent wasn't even to discuss tilts, which we already have a thread for (ROOOY and KID's threads)
