I didn't know this site existed until now. I used to play SSB64 for 6 hours straight every weekend off school in '99 when it came out. I've played it very infrequently over the last 17 years; only when friends have by some chance had it and we were playing old games. It's probably the only game I never get bored of and I can't remember a time I've ever lost. So it's very cool to see a place like this.

Is there anything going on with this game around the London, Ontario, Canada area? Or any players from there?

Hi there, the Smash 64 community as a whole doesn't really use Smashboards anymore, but it does have really good resources on the Index (https://smashboards.com/threads/smash-64-index-read-here-first.350305/). We mainly have a Facebook group where everyone talks and have discussions. You can join that here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/Smash64Community/

As for London, Ontario, you can join this FB group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/LondonSmashBros64/
And you can join the GTA FB group as well since we host bigger tournaments than in London and people from London come play with us all the time: https://www.facebook.com/groups/OntarioSmash64/

Some general things I'd like to point out to someone new joining the scene:
- Watch Nate L's advanced techniques videos (https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLRRp1_oLOK_GiEwNX_d8UIPvlqi34_VHn)
- You can play online (you'd have to buy an adapter first), which has some delay that you have to get used to, but online is a great tool to play a lot of different players
- There's also a Smash 64 Discord chat, Reddit page, and lots of us have Twitter accounts where you can follow us to see what's happening
