That's the problem though. My parents hate video games in general. They'd be mortified at the thought of me going to an offline tournament. They would never drive me to a place just to brawl. Also, about the asian comment, my parents demand that I should try to squeeze every minute of my life into studying.
QFT. My parents are the same way (I'm not Asian, but most of the Asian people at my high school had parents that were that way too.) I was only allowed to play video games for 2 hours a day each on Friday and Saturday only, to ensure that I did well in school. They also don't want me to have friends so I can focus on school :(.

Is there a chance I can get a ride with you guys to the Circuit if I'm allowed to go? I'll know by tomorrow whether or not I'll be allowed to go.

I dated an asain girl for about 3 years. I wasn't allowed to meet her parents. The don't like white people.

Her sister confirmed.

I dated an Asian girl long-distance and her parents refused to allow me to come visit because I was white, lol. I had another long-distance relationship with an Asian girl, and once I did visit her, her parents disapproved because I was white. lololol

And yes, they were both older than me (the second one moreso than the first).

Break the cycle doom, next thing you know you're shacking up with 35 year olds and coming to the stark realization that if the first thing you do in the morning while she's still asleep is watch yugioh, that her maturity concerns are probably valid.

That was just a troublesome day.

<_< My girlfriends have been two, four and five years older than me, respectively. Not looking for a 20 year gap any time soon, lol.

That's how it started with me too. They were all like "oh he's so well spoken", then you start listening to chicks that couldnt possibly be past like 29 at bars and then the next morning you realize your math sucks and there's no way 1970 could have meant anything but 37 at the time, and when were you drunk enough to ask that but sober enough to remember it?

... I'm rambling.

Mine's 4 years younger and all of my girlfriends and boyfriends have been younger than me by at least a whole year.

I think I found the perfect one at last. :D

This thread got weird, quickly, and by weird i mean awesome.

Ryko your posts are made of so much win and have me rofling

And spam we don't have FFT related names because i refuse to go around proclaiming "I am Cuchulain (or however its written) check out my disturbingly fat rotting corpse of an apperance" that and I fail understand its correct pronounciation at all points in time.

I never want to be associated with this

You could attempt explaining to your parents that this crapton of studying is stressing you out and all the pressure is getting to you and Brawl is a good way to unwind. Stress is very unhealthy and hobbies do a lot to maintain our mental health.

Or you could claim excessive video game playing improves your grades...long shot, sounds weird but it must do something for me personally, I never study for tests and I average Bs.

Last thing i can think of is convince them to let you go and then maintain whatever grades your getting during the week to show your parents it doesen't make a difference if your out enjoying the games built to entertain you or if your studying.

I'm a straight A student. Every weekend of my life (minus two or three) since August 9th, 2008 has been spent at a Smash tournament. I do little to no homework and have spent maybe an hour total of this year studying. I'm also in all honors classes.

Smash certainly has had no negative effects on my schoolwork. Tell this to your parents.

Wow, thanks a lot for responding. Thank you for the thoroughness of your posts ^^. Ryko's post seems feasible LOL. I can relate to your posts about not studying as much and maintaining a B average. I could do that and still average A's. Unfortunately, this does not apply to SATs :X. I wish it did. A question though, how long would the crew be intact for?

I got a 1560 on my SATs (back when the score was still 1600. yes, I'm that old >_>) and i'm pretty sure due to always skipping class and never doing my homework that my actual average was barely above a D. I just passed/aced all my state/national/final/AP exams and pretty much slept throughout high school.

This is probably just my stating that I'm a ****ing slacker though.

Just worked in the purchasing department, but I quit a while ago. Gonna go back to school or something, should probably become one of those responsible adults.

First person on SWF to beat me. 1480.

I was gonna stay at Princeton, but the people who go there are ***s. I'd rather be poor and awesome, than rich and pretentious.

btw: Class+sleeping= glory.

I'm accepting Full Advance + XD Mods and RBY no tradebacks MMs (NetBattle) from anyone not named Mow or UltimaScout. I'll pay you at a tourney or via mail if I lose, and I expect you to do the same.

Get at me on AIM/MSN/PM (AIM/MSN preferred) if you're up for it.

I'm young smasher and super lazy/unproductive. And I go out. It probably has to do with the fact that my parents hate me staying home. School wise, I only care about passing tests, everything else I disregard as useless, pending on situations (I'm a B+-er). I'm very carefree as to school problems, only because I usually find a way out whether it's easy or not.

But yeah, I haven't been to a lot lately, I've yet to go OoS. My brother, I think, has gotten me a negative reputation in the Smash community, but I don't care about what people initially think about me.

LOL on the wierdness on this thread.
Inui =Cool Creep (Only within a 1 inch Radius from my brother, other than that your cool, I guess :))
DM = Still owes me a dollar.

Thanks to everyone on congratulating me.

Also Guys I might go to BBC, so please keep my spot locked until then please.
