Who are Phil and Lil?
Phil and Lil are main characters in the popular Nicktoon series Rugrats, which ran from 1991 to 2004, but it was revived in 2021 and is currently running. They are a pair of adventurous and curious toddlers who love anything gross, especially bugs, worms, and mud. They are fraternal twins, and Lil is the older twin by two minutes. They often join Tommy on his crazy adventures and commonly cause a lot of mischief for the cast.
How can they fight?
There's enough material in the 11 seasons of the show (counting both the original and the reboot as one series) to make a good moveset. They would also play like the Ice Climbers in Smash, meaning that they would feel very unique from the roster in that regard. They would mainly use various toys and other objects they find lying around.
Why add Phil and Lil to the roster?
Rugrats is a very iconic show. It ran for nine seasons, had a spinoff that ran for five more, a currently ongoing reboot, tons of video games, a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, tons of merchandise, three movies, and even a float in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. It more than deserves another rep. Phil and Lil themselves haven't gotten a lot of spotlight despite being a part of the show since the very beginning. It's time for them to finally get their shot at being the stars of the show.
