Some friendlies of my Wolf vs Keitaro's Snake from ~2 weeks ago as we both try to kinda figure out how to play the MU. Utilt is stupid, why does that move hit behind Snake -___- and there's no reason C4s need to explode like, everything, idk, I get hit by things that explode waaaaay too much. But yeah, check 'em out I suppose, a mix of bad decisions, good reads, hard camping, and aggro juggling awaits you. Anyone with good Snake experience (JJ, Seagull, Sync (almost forgot to add you in, post more! lol)), got some pointers? I really feel like I'm getting a better grip on this MU, it's not so bad.

Yeah I should post more @.@ haha, a lot of stuff keeping me busy lately.

Ok I saw all the matches except the third one since youtube turned black and yeah... :/

Your wolf is great as usual ish, you pulled off many cool things, and I have to say, I love watching others wolf camp xD, Im pretty sure you annoyed that snake. Only one thing, when camping snake, remember that if he throws his grenades straight at you blaster wont hit them, so try short hopping and blastering just a bit above the ground, it will always intercept the trajectory of the grenade, this becomes much more useful if the snake knows you are going to use shine to reflect them, and he starts stopping the grenades right in front of you all the time.

Also, dont force the kill on snake, seemed to me that when you were on disadventage you started more agro and physical instead of camping even more to even the %s, dont drop shield too soon if snake starts doing his generic ground atack combinations.

The end of the 4th match is something we should do even more to other players! Thats the legacy of Semifer who retired long time ago, his camping on the ledge was superb :]

And god I laughed so hard on the last match, it was simply awesome, the C4 comboing against snake, and the tree glitch which apparently lowered Keitaros skill hahaha, he was playing kinda shocked! Also you love a lot airdodging behind your oponent and atacking from behind, We call that "The Toronto Joe" here, great set Ishley :)

So, like I said, I played pretty garbage at my tourney last week. As promised though for anyone who may be interested; Derpy Amateur GFs.

My entire game was off that day due to a bunch of johns reasons, so don't worry about some of the weird stuff I was doing. lmao. I'm usually really fluent with my item control, with my bait & punish stuff especially. My tech overall was just sort of messy. That aside, these were some really fun matches with silly things on both sides. Some blatant input errors like my second stock, Game 4. LOL. I like to think I know the Diddy MU pretty well though and it's definitely one of my favorites, I just don't quite know his moveset well enough yet I guess (trying to Bair Monkey Flips and stuff). If you wanna throw out some tips that's cool, but these are mostly for your entertainment.

Herp.

(2nd game texture hack, wth?)
Aside from obvious input errors, you did pretty well. Maybe jab to cover landings more. I sometimes mess up when under pressure too :( . Diddy's bananas are a royal pain and he has monkey flip tricks to complicate the MU even more. It's a very challenging MU when Diddy plays right. His quick movements even w/o banana are hard to track.
I suck with Wolf vs Diddy and usually end up going Link/G&W/Zelda (blushing face).
I only watched the first game through. Why did you lose and CP RC? (Dumb question, I'll watch it)
Nice shine gimp! Diddy's playing too passive. I would think Diddy would have the advantage on RC but that wasn't the case.

Only set of me that was posted.

Could I get some critique please? :)

Ugh dedede is horrible :/ Your wolf is very good offensively, your atack patterns are pretty good, however, I highly doubt king dedede can be beaten offensively with wolf, I only watched the smashville match, stay on the plataform and blaster more while it is on the sides then avoid his aereals while the plataform is going in the middle of the stage, that way you wont touch the ground too much. Your biggest mistake was not holding DI up while being chaingrabbed, it costed you 2 stocks.

Had another Tourney. Used Wolf...

I swear everytime I play him he gets Gayer and Gayer! T_T
You did beat him though good job

Hey guys, remember that marth I talked a lot that always beated me? So i got some videos against him on a "serious" non-tournament match, The second match is dumb anyway, Id reaaaally like some critique on these 3 videos, and ignore the second match lol

okay so i ignored the 2nd video so my critique will be on the 1st and 3rd only.

1st off, i'd like to say i like watching your wolf a lot (I don't say this much to anyone)

you did a pretty good job punishing most of marth's opening so it seems you know the matchup pretty well.

I can't really fault anything too much in game 1 which you won pretty handedly

game 3, the things i feel you could have worked on is learning how to trade damage without getting hit by one of marth's kill moves.

basically, after you took the first stock, you did some risky things (like that f-smash but luckily it connected).

after you take the first stock, and you're at a high percentage, your goal is to trade damage without getting hit by any of marth's kill moves.

you can do this by blaster planking and shielding a lot (force him to grab you if he's going to do damage to you caz marth's grabs don't kill wolf til insanely high percentages)

Also, on your second stock, you just took wayyyyy too much damage without being able to damage him yourself.

i guess that was due to him being able to read your ledge game. so I would just learn to randomize your ledge game a bit (more blaster planking maybe?)

Pura vida :)

It is true though, on the first match I attempted to blaster plank a lot more to conserve the lead, which i didnt do on the 3rd match pretty well. Shielding on the other hand is pretty risky vs this guy, he always tries to see an opening to use his shieldbreaker, but that B move shouldnt be so hard to evade on reaction though. I get a lot of damage trying to trade hits when im on the lead, which can and does result in me dying from one of marths Uairs.

Is it actually recommendable to try and trade wolfs dair with marths Uair? Ive been failing that a lot lately so im on doubt.

^^^ YES. Our dair outranges his uair, if you read the Marth going up for the juggle and start it in time you'll spike them down without getting hit. I do it a lot, but imo the Marth you play is better than the Marths I play.

I've been meaning to critique a bunch of the videos here, so hopefully I'll do that tomorrow :3

I cried :( you could've beat Quik I think, whenever you were spacing bairs on her shield things were going very well, and you were able to manage the armor pieces pretty well too. First game in particular you were playing really good, you caught on to a lot of Quik's habits (dtilt after getting bair'd) and punished them fairly consistently (usmash OoS, etc).

(game 1) You'd damage him more with Dthrows instead of Fthrows. You often space at Marth's optimal tipper range, sometimes running up and shielding there; this is bad. Hit, chain and run starting from where Marth can't hit you. Several times you rolled behind him.
In general, stall at the ledge more and mix it up; he cut you down because you immediately jump from the ledge a lot. Be aggressive offstage; you blastered but sometimes stood there waiting for him to come closer. Marth could have been gimped/intercepted with Bair. Speed up your attacks when he's in a bad place.

Lol at him camping. Sometimes I slightly delay the next blaster shot to throw off their PS rhythm. I think the sound glitched in a few places.
Good work guarding his ledge returns and knowing when to force approaches:).

Your problem with toonlink was that you getting hit by to much of his items when a toonlink throws a bomb if you hold your shield up the bomb will bounce off of it and then you can catch also when a toonlink is landing near you you usually should shield because the tl is just gonna land with zair and another thing I notice is you dont use alot of sh fair you should use it more in the mu it shuts down alot of tl options and if tl is above you with a bomb just shield cause toonlinks usually just throw the bomb down

I really have a hard time against items since I'm so use to not fighting with any items on since N64 days. I am lucky and have a friend that will try to help me, also until the wiiu comes out I'm stuck w/o a wii since I'm letting my bro finish beating some games he still hasn't beaten. But when I get it I'm going to be practicing the **** to sh fair. Also I seem to notice that in general I try to jump and approach ppl from below and get punished hard for it...but I'm learning

Yay! :D

I don't really have that much to say lol, as usual I'm very pleased with his knowledge/flow with Wolf. He has really good reads on dthrow techs, maybe you're better off not teching xD

At 1:33, uair from the ledge is safer than shine if you're staying offstage imo because you get to keep your aerial control. I use it a lot when doing stupid stuff offstage and stalling for time, it's worth trying out. In general, I think Kazal could use with exploring his ledge options a bit more. Also, when Squirtle goes for the grab release > jab, he should SDI the first one away so the second whiffs and then ftilt you :3 4:50, dthrow has frame disadvantage against almost every character at 0% so he should opt for fthrow instead, or try to read an attack and PS>punish (at least he DI'd bullet seed properly though). He seems to be a little bit shield-happy, didn't cause many problems here but something to keep an eye out for in the future.

Does Kazal have any specific questions? Or even better, an account on SWF? :p

Okay why are most of the ones I watched all Wolf losing? Is this the thread of how NOT to play Wolf? Seriously I'm confused lol. Also would love to see a vid of Wolf beating Olimar:bee:
