The Use of Coins in (Online) Stage Choice

So, looking at this while watching SMYN, I thought up the idea that coins are used to "pay" to choose a stage on-line.

Note that it says 1 Coin. So I'm thinking whoever has the most money has the most sway as to what stage you play at. Thinking about this could be bad, you know some jerks (like me on a bad day) will just go, and flaunt your money by picking, like, Rumble Falls just to tick people off. So what do you all think, of the validity of this idea. And if it IS true, What kinds of restrictions do you think will be on it.

action replay. It will ruin online. Lack of features keeps nintendo from being able to ban people.

I'm just hoping it won't work like that. Maybe you can only put one coin on a stage, but you can vote for multiple stages.

Okay, what I meant was do you think I'm right in assuming that by Coin they mean the ones you collect from playing alot, or do they mean some other system? If so, do you think there will be a limit on how many coins you can spend? Do you think that you can see how much the other people have placed? What happens in a tie? Is one of the (4) that were selected chosen at random? Is there a re-do.

Ya lots of questions, but it was obvious that i need to be more specific.

I don't think it's the same coins you get in Single Player.

Maybe you have more than one vote, and you can either vote for the same stage multiple times, or spread them out between two or three of your favorites. If you think about it, that's the most logical explanation.

or each player could put there vote on the stage. Like 1 coin stands for Players one vote on the stage.

2 coin player 2's vote on the stage.

I guess that makes sense as well. Then when player two picks Rumble Falls, we all know to beat the crap out of him/her for choosing a horrible stage.
it also helps with the mario kart esque thing. I see player 1 has voted for a stage i hate and player 3 has voted for a stage i like so i go with player 3 so i dont have to play with the one i hate.

the coin may not even stand for the player but how many people has voted on it so far.

1 person voted for Skyworld
1 person voted for Rumble Falls.

I see these two and decide 2 chances is better than 1 so go with someone on skyworld.

Well it does add that extra element of surprise and suspense to online play. It seems to work just like bidding for stages as far as I can tell.

The Mario Kart DS Theory sounds like a good one. You pick your stage and if you're lucky it wins. However if two people pick the same stage, it's for sure that that's the one going to be chosen. I don't know if that would be for the best but that's the theory I've been holding on to

If you actually LISTENED to SMYN instead of "watching" it, youd realized that this has nothing to do with the coins you get in SE or coin battles

I think the coin gamble chooses more than just stages. I think it applies to items and other rules as well. I am putting coins down on stages that people hate all the time... always bonus matches.

edit: After reading more I see how it works. I feel dumb for the post above.

no you can not do this, this is not how this will work, when it says one coin, it means one person voted for it, you will not bet coins to pick levels, he said himself in this update, each picks a stage and the stage is picked from lottery from them.
