<p>Today's Dojo conveniently coincides with a Famitsu article revealing Zelda's last move, Transform, that, like Melee, makes Zelda become Sheik, the last member of the Sheikah tribe. Her final Smash is the same as Zelda's, which is &quot;Light Arrow&quot; of which she shoots... light arrows. As Zelda's best move has always been her Down Special, I'm glad Sheik, who is a GIRL, returns.

It's too bad the other half of her character still is pretty useless. Zelda might be the only character whose play style is pretty crappy. I hope Sheik remains the same since she's who I play as if I want to feel like Nightcrawler from Xmen. Also, what the crap? Small sword?

Actually, I don't like the new design too much, her Melee/OoT counterpart looked alot better.
Just something to point out though, Sakurai just said that this is a model that was supposed to be used in TP, so at one point of the developement of the game, you were supposed to see Sheik again, wonder how that would've worked out...

Btw, why wasn't today's update shown on the main page?

Who says Zelda's gonna be crappy this time around? They said their trying to even all the characters out so she could be a lot better than last time. And actually, Zelda wasn't even that bad last time. She was a great power character, but was just overshadowed by Shiek cause Sheik was way faster. But I do agree about the short sword. I'm curious if she'll use it in her light attacks or something. Guess we'll have to wait and see.

They definitely did a marvelous job graphically improving her. I'm not into Sheik so her retaining the same moves from the previous game isn't a big deal to me. The major question is this: Is if she's nerfed or not? We'll just have to wait and see.

I'm a little dissapointed by the fact tha it's sheik. I was hoping she'd transform into someone like Tetra or Midna.

They obviously didn't read the article in July about an interview that included her and Ganondorf's art designs were handed in to Sakurai. To me, that means that Ganondorf's getting added as well.

I think Zelda was decent enough, it was just her other side, Sheik, who was way more popular and way easier to get used to. But I guess this time, the developers will balance the game out more, they already did with Fox. A nerf for Sheik and everyone's more or less (by the looks of it) even, although it can't be avoided that some characters WILL be better than others.

But now to the actual topic: I was amazed by Sheik's new looks. She looks absolutely gorgeous, I think they did very well in updating her looks. And I'm glad she returned, I knew (as everyone else) she would be in, why would they make a fuss over Zelda's Down B if not for Sheik? (of course, there was still a slight probability she would not have been in, but that includes every other character, yeah, even Ridley, there I said it!). But Sheik is probably going to be one of my mains!

I really like the update. I especially love the sweet new textures, and the updated, less dainty, needles.

I do see, however, that Zelda still sticks a sock down the front of her shorts for the transformation .

Sidenote: I think that the 'persona' of shiek is male, making Zelda very similar to the old-style Kung-Fu heroines who would don male clothing, and hide their feminine assets. I think that the wrapping around the chest is a very nice touch in this department. Umm... back to my original point... Zelda's attraction to Link still shows through the Shiek disguise, which makes all the interactions between Shiek and Link very funny--poor Link can't cope with a 'guy' flirting with him (replay Ocarina... it's all there, I promise!).

I suppose, in short, since the disguise is supposed to be male, I will call Shiek he, and Zelda her.

Tetra IS Zelda, but it's impossible that they'll change her transformation to her, as they would need to totally rebuild a 3D model of her, because let's face it, a 3d model changing into a Cel-shaded one.... just plain phail.

Pretty cool, but I kind of wish he had done that from the beginning.

Sheik looks awesome! I always hate fighting her..but she looks really awesome. Like a ninja. I also like the new change to the dojo where everyone's special moves are listed.

This kinda makes up for another month delay..kinda. If it was Lucario or someone new it would have been better.

I don't understand why people were unhappy with Zelda in Melee -- she was one of my main characters, picked up mostly because people raved about Sheik so much.

This design looks great, but I'm interested to see what kinds of little changes we see in both Zelda and Sheik's movement, since the physics are supposed to "float" more.

Actually, just about the only thing that somewhat disappoints me is the fact that Sheik doesn't get her own Final Smash. On the other hand, we *do* get Light Arrows, so I'm pretty much fine with that.

I happen to have played almost every Zelda game.(only games I haven't are things like the CDi games and stuff like BS Zelda)
It's my favorite Nintendo franchise.

On Tetra:
They TP-ified Sheik, so why couldn't they have done it for Tetra?
I think it'd be cool to have a Ninja in Melee and a pirate in Brawl.


On Midna(probably going to be some really obvious TP spoilers):
Since Midna is the princess of the Twilight Realm, she is almost a mirror version of Zelda. It'd be more of a tag-out instead of a transformation, but I still think it'd be pretty cool.
