They don't quite understand yet...although Xsyven seems to be the closest to realizing how tasty the Steak is.

He got some stickies!

Holy crap. You guys spam a lot, don't you? You're lucky the Sonic board isn't a real forum. :p

Catinthehat, if you post lolololol one more time, I'm going to infract you again.

Yeah, the spam is the only thing that makes /s/ thrive.

I mean, it's not like we're gonna find anything else new with Sonic.
Please don't call the Sonic forums /s/ :(

And hey, MarKO X learned today that Sonic's HA bounce against the floor gives back your midair jump, that almost counts, right? And KID and I recently had an epic discussion where we figured out the correct way for Sonic to optimally avoid the horizontal killzones. My point is, we still have work to do here :/

.... tl;dr: the steak is still rare :)

Box came up with /s/.

Yeah. I guess that almost counts.

oh and BTW, Xsyven's actually the first to notice my excessive use of lolololol. Props.

Xsyven is just in denial in how awesome these boards are. He'll turn around...eventually...

He's been pretty cool these past few minutes, gotta admit.

i still don't see a valid reason why swf can't make character specific mods.

also, steak

and also, while you're here Xsyven, how do you and how does the sbr feel about sonic. panda's being inert and not talking about it, but i've talked to others and after i say some things they act like they have no idea about sonic at all

Most mods are really awesomely cool, but for the sake of providing a sense of authority, they remain rigid and mean (i'm lookin at u mic_128).
Xsyven seems a cut above the rest tho.

New Topic: How often do you guys actually use air-dashing when you play on levels where it is possible ?(YI, Picto etc)

Eh, let them run SWF their way.

Anyways yeah if Xsyven says anything bad about Sonic, I can always just challenge him to another Wi-Fi set and change his opinion, he CHALLENGED me on the AiB ladder... too bad I went all Ike.

Edit: The heck is "air-dashing"?

Side B on a 45 degree tilt. When released you go straight through the air and have a kazillion invincibility frames.
Read Tenkis mechanics.

i'm just curious, because mods/sbrs say they "know" sonic as a whole, but don't really elaborate or even show a sense of intelligence about him

How does their little weekly character discussion project work again? Like do all the natives of the boards get to b**** at the guys and tell them how much win the character is made of?

In that case, they're going to get a can of whoop-a** on them, because Sonic is just that f***ing complicated.

I can't tell you what the SBR is talking about-- it's against the rules! All I know is, is that Sonic is a crappy character that random fanboys make good just to own people that hate him, such as myself. :)

on of the BRoomers/important people does a character analysis and than takes it to the board so that they can discuss the character.

our only hope is if Xiivi does the write up, cus then, i can give him all the info personally

I am, I must admit.

Although I didn't like Sonic at first, his style just wasn't quite mine, until I played Ike for a little while, and then when I try him out agaon for the lulz, he somehow becomes too good.

I was playing FFAs the other day, and I did a U-throw as Lucario shot an aurasphere at me and my opponent, who I had grabbed. Normally, I would have D-thrown, but it was behind me. I've gotten hit out of my B-throw before, and I didn't know what to do, so I just went for the U-throw, expecting to get hit.

My opponent took 12 damage.

Sonic took no damage.

omnomnom.

needs moar testing.

You mean something like...:

Opponent
Sonic-------{AuraSphere Path}-------Lucario

?

This reminds me of when there was a post saying that Sonic got hit somewhere on the back of his head by a Pit arrow and took no damage.
How big was the aurasphere? Baby or full charge?

Doesn't sound much like it's got much to do with the weird perks you get with grabs dependant on what contoller port your using, so that's that idea out..
I hope uthrow has invincibility frames lol. Even though in 1v1's they'd be very limited in use, it's the fact that Tenki discovered them that makes them good.

Does Sonic's hurtbox increase when his spikes grow for the Uthrow? If so, it seems the only way this worked was exactly when Sonic layed down?
I'm just tossing out ideas... :/

Someone who has a handily accessible copy of barlw:

Take Sonic vs MK on FD, 2 computers on training mode.

Grab 1 Metaknight and have the other MK stand behind you (control mode).

Start U-throw, do a MK D-smash at different points of the throw.

see if Sonic tanks any of the hits?

I'll give it a shot.

Yea, I haven't seen it yet. The only thing I've noticed that if timed right, Sonic's Uthrow exchanges hits with MK's Dsmash.
Should I test with Auraspheres? That move has odd, easily reflected properties...and that IS the original scenario.
