Probably the same reason May got a Bulbasaur and Sawyer had a Treecko. They're not considering Sword and Shield the focus, but still want some promotion, just like for Fire Red/Leaf Green and Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire.
Only this time it's a main series game getting the scraps. :V

Honestly I'm not surprised. Go is incredibly profitable, more so than the main series games, so it makes sense that they'd want to promote it.

Depends on if the post dlc revolves around third parties or first parties. It would be neat to get Geno or Dixie but I don't see either of those as super likely.

I just call him Chibi Link. But that's honestly a good description of his design. I love the new design anyway. His expressions are hilarious. Combined with the new sound effects and it's a really good remake.

Honestly, who knows. I think it’s better to focus on what we know now rather than what’s coming soon in the future, because there is the possibility that we will get individual DLC instead.
