its just, yknow, touchscreens are way cheaper, less maintaince on the consumer, and more practical, so its what devs default to too
I’d like for it to be the latter, but I am sure it is the former. It’s probably Hydrocity Zone.

So apparently two thirds of the Wii U games I own won't even boot up without the Gamepad being connected, even if it's Wiimote compatible.
Great system.
EDIT: It won't even let you open system settings without it lol

Fun Fact: King Kong the novel is public domain. King Kong the movie and character are not, and the ownership rights to both are a complete mess. But if you make a "legally distinct" Kong (but not THE King Kong or Kong), you can make your own "King Kong" movie without paying a dime for any licensing. The Warner Bros and Legendary Pictures adaptation of the King Kong movie are actually based off the novelization to circumvent Universal's copyright.

Except the novel is a novelization of the movie, which came out two months later. So like… how can the one be in public domain and the other not? It’s based on the year something came out in and they’re the same number of years old. Plus the book was based on the movie, not the other way around.

Wild Woody's BACK, baby! And he didn't need to sell "like, a zillion units!"
But really, the reason why this could be a thing is because WW flopped hard enough that Sega didn't want to own the IP, so they sold it to its creators.

Eh. I don’t really care about that. Capitalism is already a rigged game anyway, use all the cheat codes you can. The only people you actually hurt with insider trading are other rich people. I think anyway, don’t quote me on that. Like yeah it’s illegal, and if the system was already fair I’d probably judge your morals by it. But it’s not. So I don’t really care.
