Yeah, the only thing left for Smash Ultimate is the remaining amiibo Sora. I doubt Sakurai and Nintendo has anything for the fanbase to prep for the next Smash Bros. I think they are saving it for the next console. In a way, gives more room for development time, new ideas and collaboration with more companies if possible

Tbh I can see an Ultimate: Complete Edition for the Switch 2, which comes with all DLC and some extra character adjustments. And that gets DLC in place of a new Smash.
Maybe. But as you said, that’d be for the next console.

Dudes out here really thinking that, at the end of the Switch’s life, they’re about to start a whole new Fighters Pass

If I were them, I'd just keep porting Ultimate for every console with updates (Notably more modes like Boss Rush, Break the Targets, Board the Platforms, etc.). No Smash game after it is gonna top it.

Are there really signs of a return?

Or are people just reading too deep into things 🤔
I guarantee we're not getting a season 3 pass tbh nor a Deluxe Edition for Ultimate (Base game coming with all DLC). At most it's just an amiibo for Sora.
It could all easily be nothing for all we know but Smash amiibo, GameCube controllers and (revealed yesterday) Smash-themed Pro Controller all getting restocks this year feels very weird if nothing is actually happening.

And it doesn't have to exclusively means more fighters or an enhanced edition, just any possible outcome.

And you can deal with getting all the rights for all those characters each time.

Should be a breeze:101:
It's the same game though only it's being ported, not a different one like Smash 6. What difference would that make?

So I wanted to ask some gamers about the persona fighters and you guys might do. Anyway is this an easy access fighting game like soul calibur and street fighter or a difficult one like marvel vs capcom?
It has auto combos but the game is also extremely ****ed up.

Some companies COUGHSquare EnixCOUGH probably wouldn’t be too stoked about characters like Sora or Sephiroth not being dlc anymore. Not to say they’d never come back, but SE would definitely want to keep making money off them. Hell, I could even see Microsoft doing that with Steve. Minecraft is still huge.

Not Banjo though, they ain’t doing **** with him they’ll toss him in anything for free lol

🤓🤓🤓 ackshully...

Sora is owned by Disney. Now I would imagine getting licensing rights wouldn't be too tough given that Nintendo is a multibillion dollar company but I would imagine that a part of the deal requires all 3rd parties involved getting a cut of the profits of the base game. It's free marketing which leads to free money.

Nah, unless your name is Square-Enix and you give the rights to your game's music to the composer.
Otherwise, music is good licence wise lmao, since most of the time it's the company that owns them.

it’s still weird how everyone who wanted Sora assumed that Disney was the biggest problem to get through…then they went “you can use him bro” to Nintendo and Sakurai

…now watch as Smash accidentally becomes canon to the Kingdom Hearts lore due to how well done he is in Smash

I still like the idea of the "New Super Mario All-Stars Pack" where they remake Mario 1, 2, USA, 3, and World in the NSMB style. Maybe throw in the Land games and Special for good measure. Would be so fun.

And it'll TOTALLY be a breeze to bugtest all that new content

And add newcomers that aren't Richter-tier echoes.

You really worry about Smash's budget when Ultimate proved that Nintendo can kinda go all in, huh, lol.
No, I just remembered that Everyone Is Here meant they couldn't do that many base game newcomers or side modes, unlike 99% of the Smash fanbase.

Imma be real with ya

Outside of trophies, I don't feel like Ultimate's really lacking in side modes. Most were added in post launch but, hey we got Stage Builder and HRC back so eh. :dr^_^:

I may be a heretic for saying this, but I don't care about Break the Targets anymore. That mode had been going downhill since Brawl, ever since they had to stop making custom levels, which, is understandable.

Forget Smash, I wish there was a new Cross game Sega X Namco. (Plot Twist: The Sonic franchise is the only one representing the entirety of Sega :v)

Smash Ultimate Deluxe but the only change is giving every character a unique Break the Targets stage

The move would be to let players make their own Break the Targets and Board the Platforms with the stage builder.

Brand new, including evos.

I wanna see who I'm using through the dlc.
Poltchaigeist, has an antique form ala Sinistea

Sinistcha, its evolution, also has an antique form

Blood Moon Ursaluna, seems to be a 'special' Pokemon ala Spiky Eared Pichu/Eternal Flower Floette. Probably the final part of the Diamond Clan girl's sidequest

The 3 Legendaries: Munkidori, Okidogie, Pheasendippidi
