Ehh, it still means nothing. Harada wasn’t being serious. People west side had a problem with Chloe in Tekken 7 and said “that’s it I’m taking her out for the American release and I’ll be sure to add a generic skinhead just for you” and that didn’t happen. Harada has a tendency to be extremely dramatic. It’s his character in the industry at this point.

There's been a ton of fan demand for Metroid and Pokemon Snap, and there's been at least a little bit of demand for Advance Wars.

I have a hunch that since FE has blown up to be so successful that these Advance Wars remakes are Nintendo's/Intelligent System's way of gauging interests in the series. Alternatively remakes are sometimes used as an exercise for the developers before making a bigger title - I think we saw an example of this when lot of gameplay features from Samus Returns got carried into Metroid Dread.
