Curious to see how the box office performance does for this film. I just hope this, Free Guy and Shang-Chi & the Legend of Ten Rings does well although this is hard to tell considering that we are still in the midst of the pandemic.

For whatever reason the next weekly in-game event for Smash Ultimate wasn't shared on social media but this week we're getting sprits from Mario Golf: Super Rush to collect.
“Oh geez Rick, I shouldn’t have borrowed your sticker converting gun! Now I’m stuck on the side of a Buffalo Wild Wings™️ and my color’s starting to fade!”
Guess what people on Twitter are complaining about Mario Golf: Super Rush not having on launch?
The option to change the CPU difficulty.
F*** Twitter. The people there are such unbelievable dumbasses.

I’m viewing a bunch of Twitter replies on the Mario Golf update announcement.
Some of them are like “the game was rushed and unfinished”
Others are like “no, it ain’t. It has free content updates which are better than Mario Tennis Aces and Animal Crossing New Horizons. Also, there were promises of free content updates at e3”
I've got no issue with the "Free Content Update" formula; once you do what you can in one of those games, you can check out another while waiting for the next update to come out, and when it does come out, you can bounce back and check out what's new. It's great for encouraging one to look into their backlog or engage in other pursuits.
If this were put in the comments when dislikes are implemented, I'd be forehead-deep.
Just as a clarification, my earlier post was made to be a joke, I wasn't trying to stir anyone up or touch a nerve, so my apologies.
As for the rest of the post:
I have absolutely no issue with someone criticizing a game. I think it's good! Nothing is perfect, and things will only get better with constructive criticism. However, I will fully admit I disagree with the "New Leaf is better than New Horizons" argument, personally. A lot of New Leaf was restrictive, and clunky for me personally, and I definitely don't miss the Publics Works system at all. Things like Brewster were a neat novelty, but you experience all there is to do after two minutes. The mini games were fun, but again, nothing super noteworthy IMO.
As for New Horizons being unfinished? Yeah, I'm gonna have to disagree personally: It isn't that the game is unfinished IMO, it's that they changed priorities. HD development is waaaaaay more intensive than making a 3DS game, and everything as a result takes longer. Deadlines have to be made, so it most likely came down to this:
Port all of New Leaf's content, and run into the issue we did with City Folk where people complained the experience was too similar and felt like a port.
Or, try something new, and shift priorities over to expanded on customization and island personalization, which were by far the biggest complaints against New Leaf, as the OG Animal Crossing games had next to no way to make your town stand out outside your house. Creating your own, custom island with Public Works and patterns was a HUUUUUUGE part of NL, so the devs saw that and chose to make this the focus. This means that due to limits to how much you can do in so little time, not everything can just come over: Video game development is a long, hard, often thankless process, and sometimes, sacrifices have to be made to try new ideas.
As for "Why don't they just update it, then?" Well, the biggest issue comes down to:
Money.
See, Nintendo (so far) has kept all of these updates free. This severely limits how much effort and manpower they're going to put into a project, as, hey, people gotta get paid, and making free updates cannot sustain actual substantial content because of that. You're not gonna pay a huge team of devs to work on something that won't keep consistent revenue coming in.
As for Villager dialogue...Agree somewhat. Jocks feel horrible in this game: The yell about muscles and that's it. The other types, though? They...Feel about as good as they did in New Leaf. Heck, even when they visited you in NL, they barely said anything different: The dialogue was super limiting and repetitive.
EDIT: Oh, and buildings.
TBH they didn't get rid of their functionalities, they just...Streamlined them. Those shops functions still exist, it's just you can access them through quick menus now rather than being forced to go to a location. I personally view this as a QoL thing.
That all said...
It's all subjective! If you don't enjoy the game, then I'm sorry it isn't for you. I personally think it's the best one yet with some flaws and things that bug me (furniture sets are limited, a lot of annoying timegating, etc) but it doesn't ruin the experience for me personally.
I admit, maybe I acted a bit touchy about that, I'm just tired how nowadays if you don't praise a game, you're called being a whiner and being made fun of and on the flipside if you say anything positive you're being called a shill. Feels like people nowadays don't realize you can like something while also criticize it (not directed at you personally, just in general).
As I said though, I do like New Horizons, that's also why I'm so passionate about it, especially because it was the perfect game during the first quarantine wave. I just really disagree with how Nintendo handles that game, the game upon release felt really empty, despite already having been delayed. And it's still missing quite a few things form older games. There's something I wanna address though:

That's where I personally disagree on. A lot of shops were relegated to being random visitors when you could properly unlock them previously, like Katrina and Leif. And there's no substitute for the police station still, something that simply tells you if you have a visitor in your town, something that very easily could've been done by Isabelle's PSAs. I'm all for QoL changes (crafting multiple things at once when?), really, but at least give us the option to have buildings, too. It helps making your town actually feel like a town. And as for the Roost, sure, you didn't spend a lot of time there, but it was nice to have. You got to meet the special villagers, like Resetti outside their normal roles. Was it important? Not at all, but it was nice to see and made the game feel more alive. It's the little things and they add up.
At the end, I just don't get why Nintendo removed so many buildings in a game that's all about customizing your island. It just feels counterproductive to me. Again, I like ACNH, it's just that wasted potential that gets me, especially as someone who like to customize stuff. Like, I was planning on having a small forest area with the Roost, for example. Or a tiny area with Katrina decked out in Halloween furniture,
Honestly, if they removed some visitors from the random pool and gave them their own buildings the game would be perfect for me personally. And maybe make golden tools not break. They're so not worth it in this game considering how annoying they are to get.
