I personally prefer to have a whole bunch of champions in the early game, and then later on just skip straight to having a team of Megas or even Jogress/Royal Knights once you get enough memory(it helps that I spent a ludicrous amount of time setting up an auto farm program though )

Vivziepop summer sale video has said that episode 6 of Helluva Boss is expected to come out "in a few weeks".

Sound like somewhere from late August to early September if I had to guess. But of course I'm happily looking forward to it.

Okay regardless of what you think of Gen 1 favoritism, you can't deny that the Gen 1 starters getting regional forms would still be dope as heck.

Yes I use the word dope unironically now suck it up.

Why is it that when we get something good people don’t want more? The Retro Studios DK games were amazing! They honestly should have completed a trilogy of them before trying something new.

And like… I used to campaign for a 3D DK game but I feel like the 2D series is in danger now so I don’t want one anymore lol.

They were. But Retro ain’t makin this one. And instead of trying to copy exactly what Retro did I’d rather they do their own thing.

If that entails another 2D platformer, then great. But whatever it is I want it to be their vision.

And besides, these guys made Odyssey. A 3D DK by these guys could be legendary.

Depends on when they want to talk about Splatoon or the inevitable new Kirby. If neither or only one show up next month, I'd say odds look good for DK, especially with an anniversary, but it could go wither way TBH.

I do not want a DK animated like an anime character. That just sounds so god damn cringe. I don’t care how “good” the game is. It needs to still feel like DK. And IMO, the only good DK games were made by western studios.

Cuz it would look “anime”? Like that’s the only thing a Japanese studio could do?

Look at this cutscene from Odyssey

Does it look overly anime to you? It doesn’t to me. In fact it looks more western than anything.

Also, DK Jungle Beat was made by the Galaxy team. And say what you will about the gameplay, but it doesn’t look too anime to me.

And also also, I was talking about gameplay. Odyssey controls like a dream, not that you’d know. You didn’t play it. And the creative levels and characters only lend to it. I think the Odyssey team would do a great job with the DK series. 2D or 3D.

I gotta be honest, your reasoning sounds xenophobic, if not downright racist. Listen to what you are saying. You're saying that since the new DK will be made in Japan, DK will be all anime, and thus you don't want any Japanese devs touching funny monkey games and that's why you want western devs to only touch it. Because you believe that made in Japan = automatically Anime.


Like, come on, does that not sound racist to you?
