You aren't "on the list" to say the least.Dr. Metal X just read your post and I hope that I haven't said anything which you may have took badly.
The only reason I brought up the fact Xenoblade 2 had many character artists for each character was because I found It to be an interesting topic and It seemed quite curious that there would be so many different artists working on a single game (while still keeping their main artstyles).
And yes, this is a good point too. All the reason why they did is because Monoltih was understaffed (alot of them were working on BOTW at the time) and needed to get other artist to do the rare blades design.
However, beside some details like "this blade is a fire blade", they gave card blanche to the artist and they could do whatever they wanted so long it followed 1 detail or two. (and lots of peoples decided to go for Female Blades, tho not all of them)
The XB2 artwork show that alot of blades design were quite different on their first try, some looked better, other looked worse, but in all, it was a interesting experimentation (and they could go away with it since Blades work very differently from humans). I say experimentation tho, because Monolith have said their future entry would have 1 main character design artist instead of a bunch of other, with XB1 presumably the start of that "focused" design.
So you know, Monolith probably took notes of peoples feedback for XB2 and are trying to improve in response like any good company should, but it still was a interesting test to do I say.
