Ok ,so I'm going to post the training schedule and how I have envisioned that it should be run, but nothing is totally set in stone and things will be subject to change as we discover as a crew, what works and what doesn't. I also want to touch on a few things before I post the schedule though.
First off, people try to get to the meeting as early as possible, so we can all use our time efficiently. Ok, now the meeting should start at 1 pm since we all know that we want to get in as much training as possible. Also, in the future people plz BRING SET-UPS!!!! WoZ, this goes for you too, lol. I know you got that new t.v, and we can use Chloe's GC for it. I want there to be at least 7 set-ups in the future. And I want there to be no less then 4 VCR's. I think everyone should bring a tape if they can for recording so we don't have any problems with running out of tape for recording. People who want to record have priority over those that don't. So if you are playing at a t.v with a VCR and someone asks you to get up so they can record, then please don't be a jerk face and get your lazy *** up ok?
Also, one set-up will always be free play. You can play how ever you want on that set-up. This set-up will have a VCR, so the priority rule of recording still applies. Also if someone wants to use this set-up to look over recorded matches, then they get priority as well.
When talking about set-ups I'm not including my mother's big screen, of course. That will always be for friendlies.
Everyone should try to record matches while they are there. At least 5 or 6 so they have something to look over later.
Don't be a hog when it comes to recording. If you know you have recorded around 15 or more matches then let other people record.
Ok, now here is the training shcedule.
1 pm to 2 pm - Friendlies: Yeah , I figured that it would be best to start with these. When people first arrive to the meeting they often just want to settle into things with some casual matches. Well, here is your opportunity. Since I know I can't stop people from playing friendlies, I might as well set-up some time for them and use them to get everyone settled and ready to train. Feel free to use your practice characters here as well.
2 pm to 3pm - Counterpick stages only: We all know how this works and what makes it good for training. Feel free to use your mains or secondaries.
3 pm to 4 pm - Secondaries: Worked out some of the kinks in this one with a fairly good plan, so I'll let you all know what I came up with. One player must pick thier secondary and they will also choose which character thier opponent uses out of their mains and secondaries. The stage you play on will be up to you. You can choose random, a counterpick, a neutral or you can both agree on a stage, it's up to you. After every match the player that wasn't forced to use their secondary will be forced to do so. Basically after each match the person who must use thier secondary will be switched to the other player.
4 pm to 5 pm - Forced Disadvantage: Already explained previously, but I'll do it again. Just play a match that put's you at a disadvantage so you have to work harder and play smarter to win at. Tell your opponent which character to play out of the ones they play and you pick the stage as well. This is a good chance to work on playing stages you suck at or match-ups that you suck at. After every match the player that gets the disadvantage switches and that player chooses the conditions of the battle.
5 pm to 6 pm - Tournament sets: Do I really need to explain this? lol. Anyway this is the perfect opportunity to record matches so don't squander it.
6 pm to 7 pm - Food break: This shouldn't even take the full hour. Usually we will be done in 45 minutes. After we get back we will just play friendlies, until 7 pm hits.
7 pm to 8 pm - Team practice: Practice teams however you feel. Stages and characters are all up to you the players.
8 pm tp 9 pm - Strat Session: Need to practice obscure tricks, various set-ups, ways to DI out of certain combos, etc? This is the time to do it. Set the match to 10 minute time match no stocks. Then pick the characters and stage that you need in order to practice what you need to practice and get to it. Don't have anything that you need to practice or you finished before the hour was up? Then use the time for friendlies, recording matches, or training using w/e drill you want.
9 pm to 11 pm - 1 dollar tourney: The perfect opportunity to put whatever you learned in the training sessions to the test. Matches will be recorded if requested and if the t.v's aren't being played on by anyone else in the tourney. Winner's finals, loser's finals, and grand final's will be recorded and put onto youtube without question.
11 pm to Midnight- Match viewing/critiqueing: This is the time where we look at vids of ourselves and look over mistakes, good plays, edge guarding, overall playstyle, weaknessess, etc. This is why everyone should bring thier own tape and record on a piece of paper, which matches at which times on the tape do they think are worth going over, so they can just go right to that match and look it over. This is also why we need many VCR's. You can play friendlies or train however you please if you don't want to view matches.
Ok, guys tell me what you think. Any suggestions on how to improve this? Does it look good this way? Please give me some feedback and give me your ideas as well, Thank you.
