Its confirmed that a model for Sheik for Brawl in an interview but what will her position be? Will she be a veteran introduced as herself? Will she just be a transformation for her infamous counterpart Zelda? Will she be a newcomer introduced in the roster with her own position? Any new attempts to change her movelist? What are some possible taunts she will perform? Will she be changed from playable into an assist trophy? Or will she never see the Smash Bros. franchise again? All the questions bear in mind. You can all decide right here right now for one of the most used characters in Melee tournament competitions. Everyone pretty much loves her more than Zelda (in Melee anyway). Lets hear the thoughts and opinions and debates. Lets brawl.
In my personal opinion, I hope she comes in as a newcomer because she wasn't given a position on Melee's official roster. She was just the 26th character for acting on her own, even though she was merely a transformation attack of Zelda's. She had her own attacks and taunt differentiating herself from her majestic, regal princess personality. (She's probably has multi-personality disorder for she has been three people in the last two decades) In addition, the model for Zelda is based on Twilight Princess. A game Sheik was never known to appear in at all. I think it would be weird changing her hair into brunette so I say they should keep the blonde and make her Her own character. They should announce her as a formal character who would get an open welcome from the Dojo, just like every other character they've introduced so far. Warning! Challenger Arriving!
Making her an assist trophy is a horrible thought and I can't bear to see a playable character actually go unplayable. She has had a compatiable movelist before. Why not now?
Lets see...if they scrapped her, Nintendo would be hearing complaints for a long time for what they did to a beloved "veteran." A new movelist for Sheik would just be adding her harp in the mix (maybe as a taunt) or finally using her magic to add to her punches and kicks (unlikely). Just a thought. This is all speculation so please people, if you love her, give your thought on what happens to her in Brawl.
If you don't like what's been said, there are a few other things that come to mind we can discuss just here exclusively. Theres a thought that maybe Midna might come in due to her major interaction in the last major Zelda game on a major hardware. There is also Tetra from the DS games. What do you think of those two? Maybe Sheik was scrapped for Tetra? Maybe Midna (in Princess form) is Zelda's new transformation. The possibilities are endless. Even if they sound ludacris, voice a thought about it. It is a free chatroom on one of the most highly expected games of next year anyway. Free speech isn't a crime. Its insolence, arrogance, and thinking without what the results will be and how they affect others that is criminal.
