Ness: Ness was a GOD TIER in smash 64. WHO GIVES A F*** ABOUT MELEE TIERS, THIS IS BRAWL, AND A COMPLETELY NEW GAME! Though Ness is gone, sadly. Ness > God > my crap > bottom tier > Mewtwo in Melee 2.0 aka Lucas. Honestly, only weak characters have a one way dSmash! >_< I still <3 you Ness, and will continue using you in smash 64 and Melee to the end of time! You the man, yo! Too bad Sakurai is a jack a**, caring more about his little island then the rest of the world's thoughts. Seriously. Lucas is a guarenteed overuse not so good character, like Link in Melee-and I secondary Link!As many of you know or heard, some characters are speculated to not return to the fray in SSBB. This might be becuse of low popularity, or just because it is a clone. Whatever the reason is, tell us which characters you think should not return and why. Here's my list.
Ness/Lucas: Ness is bottom teir. He sucks. Nobody knew who he was before SSB came out. Lucas is a clone of Ness.
Yoshi: This joke of a fighter doesn't even have his own game title on GCN. His place is an assist trophy. I mean come on, his Up-special doesn't even help recover him, which goes against the main point of Smash. Nobody that is even remotely decent would try to use him in a tourny, so why waste space on the roster?
Pichu: Do I even need to say anything? Clone, weak, and gives itself damage. Wow. Why was it even put in melee? So that all the girls that play would look any see a cute lil' pichu and further attract more girls to play smash?
Ice Climbers: Same as Ness, who knew about Ice Climbers before you played melee? Nobody. Now I know what you are thinking, "well nobody knew about Fire Emblem before we played melee". Fire Emblem hadn't been released in the US. If it did, it would have been a great sucess, because it is an awsome game series. Also, Ice Climbers are useless once you lose the second one.
Mr Game and Watch: "Did nintendo run out of chracters to the point that they used a stick figure?" That was what I said the first time I saw him. Really now, not only is he unpopular, he isn't that great of a fighter either.
Roy: Clone, and doesn't deserve his own moveset.
Young Link: Clone. Nuff said.
The rest of the clones like Dr. Mario, Falco, Luigi and Ganondorf all deserve their own moveset. Feel free to get pizzed off at my comments, but remember its just my opinion.

Yoshi: You fail. Yoshi has had THREE F***ING DS games, FOUR SNES GAMES, A NES GAME, A N65 GAME, TONS OF GAMEBOY GAMES, AND SO ON! He's earned his roster spot.
Pichu: Give all Pichu hats and gear to Pikachu. Pichu isn't that bad, though. It "evolved", and is now good. Peace is restored, everyone!
Ice Climbers: This further proves the original poster a fool. Not just are they original, but they are the most original smash characters EVER! And confirmed.

Mr. Game and Watch: His games have sold over 46 million units-more then ALL NINTENDO SERIES OUTSIDE OF POKEMON, MARIO, AND ZELDA! So yes, HE DESERVES TO BE IN! HE'S SOLD MORE THEN DONKEY KONG AND SONIC FOR GOD'S SAKE! Plus, it's to honor his creator, who died, was Miyamoto's idol and basically gave Miyamoto his tools to become a the godfather of modern gaming.
Young Link: Wind Waker style. He is no longer a clone. Hell, he'd be more like Peach or Mario after I'm done with him-ALL COMPLETELY based off Wind Waker. And some Phantom Hourglass.
Mewtwo: He's got to have his revenge, as the original movie implies. He's the strongest Pokémon statwise with 4 other Pokémon (I think Regiggas, and I know Ho-oh, Lugia, and Rayquaza [Ho-oh and Lugia are Pokéball'd, and Rayquza is a boss-Reggigas might follow it, and stands no chance at being playable]). Mewtwo needs it's revenge-like Samus and Link before it.
Dr. Mario: He will never rest in peace, as he will be a color swab for Mario. May he fight on for eternity as a champion!
Marth: He's too important to Fire Emblem NOT TO BE PLAYABLE! He represents the origins of Fire Emblem, the past of Fire Emblem, and the near future, with Fire Emblem 1, Fire Emblem 3, the Fire Emblem 1 remake that came with Fire Emblem 3 on the SNES, and the Fire Emblem 1 remake that we shall know as Fire Emblem 11 on the DS-the first in the series with Wi-fi/online.
Roy: If there is a 3rd Fire Emblem character, look no further. Roy is a great choice, and deserves another go. I personally played his game, and he isn't the best. He isn't the best in Melee. So let's make him a solid competitior, and give him another go. My best thirdary deserves a shot. He's the most popular "shoe out" character, BY FAR! Plus, he's one of the most played characters in Melee, thanks to casual play.
Also, based on what I have played in his game, him being a clone is ALMOST AS RIDICULOUS THEN GANONDORF BEING A CAPTAIN FALCON CLONE! He's graceful yet powerful-yet he seemed to be all power. Counter is what all Fire Emblem Lord characters use basically, and his fB could have been a bit more original-but it was still a very original move.
His fSmash needs some original animation. He needs more strength all around, and more speedy movement (not attacks, though they could be a bit faster). His fAir should be his charge (kinda like Dante's air rush attack stab in DMC3), his nAir a one hit deal, his uAir not involving him doing a backflip, and his dAir being more of a quick strong swipe. His dSmash should have a lot more hitback, and should be a quick stab each direction instead-since that fits his fighting style and character more then a full area sweep.
His uSmash should involve him stabbing up, but more gracefully. It should have TONS of burn effect, and not just a little when you hit them. The character should take damage from the actual burn after the attack. It should also take longer to charge-and do a lot more damage, and killer (yet comboable) impact/knockback. His slashes should be slower and more power concentrated. He needs a total makeover, and needs to be decloned-and it is VERY, VERY, VERY POSSIBLE! Just like coming up for a Ganondorf moveset is very possible!
Ganondorf: Combine old moveset with sword. Give him the punching and stuff but original effects with his sword, some magic and sword moves from Twilight Princess, Ocarina of Time, and the Wind Waker.
Captain Falcon: Same old, but better recovery, and his fB becomes better for recovery. And less of a knee, and make him grow endless knees as his Final Smash!

Luigi: Base him off a combination of his old moveset(s), the Mario and Luigi Superstar Saga RPG series games, and Super Paper Mario. Make his dAir the old Mario and Luigi dAir from the last two entries of smash. Make his fAir the same, but spike at a 45 degree angle. Make his uAir that swing punch he does on the ground (his uTilt) in Melee and smash 64. Make his dB a hammer. Make his uB his jump in Super Paper Mario/Mario & Luigi=chargeable, and MUCH HIGHER! Make his dSmash where he does a fSmash like thing, but down in both directions with both hands at the same time, or one, and the other right after. Make his up Tilt a headbutt. Make his running A attack a quick hard punch, instead of 5 stupid blindfold ones. Make his nAir a flip kick sorta thing, similar to his Smash 64 and Melee uAir, but much diffrent.
Make his Final Smash have him pull out his vacuum. Make his forward tilt a one two three punch-slap-low kick. Make his down Tilt a quick slap-smack-punch combination hit thingy. Make Luigi's bAir where he kicks them, and boost forward. Either keep his nB the same, or make it his vacuum, if it isn't his vacuum already. Or make his vacuum a diffrent attack, that is SUPER POWERED! Also, make his forward throw to where he kicks them forward, his down throw where he throws them down and gives them a one two three kick motion. Make his up throw where he does his old uB on them (well...Mario's, if you get my drift), and his back throw to where he throws his opponent back, and they either slam into the ground, or go off the stage at a 60 degree angle, or somethin! >_< O, and make his dB like the Super Mario Galaxy spin tornado thingy, with more range then Mario's, too. But A LOT LESS DAMAGE and knockback, but a bit more comboable.
Shiek: Just for the heck of the original movest, let Shiek return Sakurai-AS A INDIVIDUAL CHARACTER!
Falco: He needs to be more projectile-based. Keep his laser gun, but make his dB a chargeable rocket launcher, that is similar to Donkey Kong's nB charge where you charge and then punch, but it is long range, and sorta auto tracks....for a while. Make his fB where he does a flying bird motion, like as if he flew at lighting speed, and strikes his opponent. Make his uB similar, but make it to where it looks original. Like where it sucks in opponents, does little damage, and gets A LOT more height.
Make his nAir his fAir, but make it to where he low kicks (down) twice, and then high kicks up. Make his grabs more furious and powerful-like Bowser, but not like Ike. Make it involve his sword and hard grab throws, unlike Ike and his punching and tossing. And add tons of other stuff...so ya! XD
Jigglypuff: Is the s***. A team dominate character that rocks, slaps, sings, and sleeps. It should return to glory, for round three. I anxiously await to see the puff return, as it is a fun original character. I honestly only love Jigglypuff for it's original moveset, power, and coolness in smash. YAE TO THE PUFF! THE PUFF IS A TEAM MATCH TOGD! ALL HAIL THE PUFF!
