This thread is made to talk about possible Soul Calibur characters that could be in Brawl. I have already looked around the boards, and noticed there is a thread on Nightmare. However this new thread is made to talk about all possible SC characters, including Nightmare; so if anyone would like to, please close down the Nightmare thread if that one can't exist along with this one. Anyway, here we go.

The reason of why Soul Calibur characters should be considered for Brawl, is that after Link was a guest in SCII for the Game Cube, I believe someone from SC shoud come to Brawl in order to "return the favor" of Link being a guest in SCII. Now, Namco/Bandai is the company behind SC and also behind Pac Man, who is a very much requested character due to his history on videogames. Pac Man is in his very right to be in Brawl after he was also in a crossover on that Mario Kart arcade game, but for now let us use this thread to talk just about characters from SC who can be in Brawl. Here I go with my top choices, by the way, the first 2 are a tie in the first place as I can't decide who should be the only #1.

1.- Sophitia Alexandra

She is one of my 2 favorite SC characters. She was present ever since the first SC game (Soul Edge) and in it we could say she was the heroine of it. While as the games pass by she does not seem as the main heroine of the franchise, she has been quite an important character in the games. Still I see her as the heroine of SC because of her charismatic features hardly seen on some characters. While a fighter, she prefers peace and his a very beautiful woman who is married to a man who does not deserve her which is a tragic turn on such a great character. She is nicknamed the emotional goddes of SC, and so she is a great character who could make something also great out of Brawl.

1.- Cassandra Alexandra

Sophitia's younger sister. While she is not as caering as her older sister; she is younger and much more of a fighter than Sophitia. In her own way she is a beautiful woman who could fit right in into Brawl specially since unlike Sophitia; she does not have a family to hold her back from a fight!

2.- Yoshimitsu

Back when at first I had the idea that someone from SC would be in a SSB game, I believed that someone with a lower profile and "odd values" would get in. It was either him or Voldo, but with Yoshimitsu we could have 2 crossovers for the price of one as he could represent Tekken as well. And there was also a Tekken game for the GBA.

3.- Mitsurugi

It seems that Kilik is the main hero of SC, but I believe Mitsurugi is more like the SC's main character as he represents the spirit of the noble samurai warriors. He would fit in Brawl just fine.

4.- Nightmare/Siegfried

Many consider that if a SC characters gets into Brawl it should be Nightmare/Siegfried. This could be because he is considered as the main character/hero/villian of the franchise as he is the icon of the games. Not my top favorite, but if anyone gets happy with him in Brawl then...

I'd love to see a SC character make it, though I don't think their chances are as high as Megaman and others. My vote would go to Ivy. ;)

R.M.B. were else?
you know, it may just be my inner hatred for arcade fighters but I personaly dont see any SC fighters getting in before certain other characters. I think that even pac-man might get in before any of them.

Maybe cleavage can be it's own playable character?
You know...just a thought.
Haha.
Anyway, I don't think they'll be playable, as for 3rd parties, it's really down to being Megaman, Bomberman, and Geno, if he counts. Soul Calibur isn't in the top ten most wanted 3rd parties anyway, so my bet is that they won't be in Brawl at all.

Cervantes for Brawl, well he might be a good bad guy for Brawl.

That guy that uses those knife hand things (**** that sounds ignorant since I usually know what they are called because I studied a wide variety of weapons and such...but I'm tired right now)...He's my favorite character to use from that game

That would have to be Voldo. I was also thinking of him but decided to go with Yoshimitsu. Actually I have noticed in other sites that he is a wanted SC character for Brawl.

It's the classic fighting game female stereotype (other than Smash Bros...unless you count ZSS :p).

I just chose Ivy because she seems iconic of the series to me for some reason.

Great! More support for Sophitia!

Well I have noticed that most guys here want Ivy, not a favorite of mine but I have noticed in other sites, they want Ivy too.

Oh and vesperview is a f*cking guatemalan beaner.

Sophitia's my main in SCIII (and will be again in SCIV), so I'd love to see her in Brawl. Her Guardian's Judgement (2b8BAK or 236b8BAK in SCIII) seems like the perfect Up Special, don't you think? ^.^

Are you people serious with this thread?

and the signature of that guy two posts above is full of fail, Scissorman? LMAO! Clock Tower has 0% chance of being in Brawl.

On Topic, The only thing that gives Soul Calibur a small shot is the fact that Link was in their game.

Siegfried is the main hero, not Killik.

Considering Nightmare and Siegfried are two seperate characters (Post SC3)

And Mitsurugi is in the same standing as Taki, not main characters, but still important to the plot like every other character. (With exception to Voldo, and Yoshimitsu)

And Nightmare is the main protag. Sieg is the main Antag. (Although this is debatable) XD

Yes it could work and make sense.

I'm currently writing a Fan Fiction for it right now.

Also I'd like to put a point myself towards:

AStraoth (SP?), and Nightmare.

And for my Music, oh man the possibilities rock.

Yes the thread is serious and nah, fanboys from Guatemala like you who believe nothing is possible are the ones made of fail.

Oh and that is a good reason for a possible chance of a SC character in Brawl, Link was already a guest so now someone from SC should go to SSBB. However some say that if someone from Namco will get in it will be Pacman, but that is for his own thread.

I use Sophitia in SC3...but I think if there was a character from SC it'd be Ivy since she'd be more then just another sword fighter (well she would be...but her sword is also like a whip too) and she'd been female representation. She's also kind of the main female besides maybe Taki...Taki would be pretty cool too XD

This is ridiculous.....
How come?

Well if Ivy gets in, her play might be similar as ZSS as her sword is whip like and could bring some different style of play.

With Taki I imagine she would be more suited for close range combat because of her short weapons. Maybe like Sheik.

Still my 2 main hopes for Brawl from SC are Sophitia and/or Cassandra, but from what I described about the play I would go with Ivy; while that as for character I would go with Taki.

Another thing but out of subject, how come my signature images appear on this thread, while they don't on others? If anyone knows why, please tell me either here or by PM so we don't get out of subject.

Because there was good and real reason behind his appearance! :chuckle:
Yes, Kojima begged for it. But I am sure that if he would not be in it, and someone suggested him, you will be against the idea of having Snake in Brawl.

You're signature IS full of fail, and why bring up countries to do your insults? There is a difference between possibility and complete wishful thinking, your signature belongs in the second one, that's why it fails, all of those characters in your signature have a lead in their games that would have to get confirmed before them and not even the leads have a shot lol, which is why is impossible and little orphan girl from Clock Tower ain't never gonna be in Brawl LMAO!

If Link wasnt in SCII there would be no chance of a SC character in Brawl.

Fortunately for you SC fanboys, he was, so now there's a 1% chance.

There's probably no chance for most of the SC characters to get into Brawl... mainly for a few reasons.

Most of the characters represent extreme violence and murder and etc... though one could state that they did a good job toning down Snake. In any case, I don't see Astaroth without a massive remodeling (given that all he says is "Die," "Suffer," "Exterminate," etc).

Most of the characters are epic in nature (like Raphael, Nightmare, Ziegfried, Kilik, etc), and probably wouldn't fit in well with this game. Conversely, Link is epic (in his own way), while still fitting in both games, but as a third party / guest character, it wouldn't really make sense

Ivy's not in because... well... just look at her... As hilarious as it'd be we'd probably have parents up to our armpits yelling for a recall. Given that Taki has always been the same way, and Cassandra / Sophitia seem to have pitched in some Denaari (Greek Currency) and gotten the surgery as well, the only female characters who would even have a chance in Xianghua (hope that's spelled right) or Seung Mina.

That said, Yoshi probably has the best chance of being in. Of all the characters, he's the most whimsical, the least embroiled in the story (excepting maybe Voldo), and has the most quirks and interesting bits about him that could be used in a Smash Bros game (for example, he's got his mechanical arm, which allows him to spin his sword to fly, he's got those weird moves like teleportation and the poison gas... thing... etc), and, when it comes to Namco Fighting Games, he's the rep, being in both Tekken and Soul Calibur (though the two games have two different but related versions of the character). Not only that, but he's vibrant, colorful, and not the least bit an example of rampant death and destruction (eyes Night Terror).

Plus he's a Japanese Robin Hood.

My signature is not made of fail, learn proper English grammar and you were the one who first started with the insults so get use to it. And I will make a Scissorman thread later as this is the SC thread.

SC is not Mortal Kombat as it is a japanese franchise, they have swords but not gore. And with Link being in the SC, that is a good chance to see someone from SC in Brawl, unless Pacman gets to be the Namco rep.

Yeah next to Sophitia and Cassandra, I see Yoshimitsu as the next SC character with more chances to be in Brawl since he is not such a serious character and like Voldo, is one of those described as of "bizzarre values" who could well fit into the chaotic nature of SBB.

I just dislike it when close minded fanboys say that "this or that" character can't get in and they start with the flames, it is too annoying. And they are in for giving insults but not taking them.
