Hello and welcome to the new Power Rankings (PR) thread for Kentucky Brawlers. The old thread will be closed in an attempt to better organize tournament data and help bring forth more accurate PR results. To do so, we're discarding all results up until now in attempt for everyone to be on the same page for upcoming events.
Along with this new thread comes new management and new critera. Your KY PR panelists will all be in control of this thread through a universal SWF account to help keep tournament results updated in a timely fashion so that anyone can see the data that will go into discussion for any upcoming PR.

MISSION STATEMENT:

To present to the community a well rounded PR that will promote a more competitive atmosphere and encourage growth to our smash scene state-wide.


How might this be done?

[COLLAPSE="Important. Please read."]Monitoring Wins and Losses

From here on out we will begin monitoring tournament wins and losses more closely by requiring that anyone interested in being power ranked must submit an entirely factual win/loss record for every tournament deemed acceptable for the PR. This data will be recorded and posted for the community to see who is climbing or declining throughout the season and prove to be a more useful approach when measuring who will become our ranked players.

Along with tournament data (bracket and pools) we will include Money Matches where you must submit the dollar amount played for.

Tournament Classifications

• Must have a singles entry fee of at least $5 dollars (unless specified otherwise i.e. Clowsui's CSRBTs)
• Must have at least 8 entrants
• Must have bracket image available

NOTE: Tournaments containing the before mentioned criteria doesn't necessarily qualify it to be considered for the PR. This could still be left to the panel's discretion.

Upcoming Tournaments

From here on out the KY PR crew will be keeping you updated of tournaments within our region that we think would be useful for you to go to in order to showcase your skills and obtain results. Tournaments that aren't included on this page can still be considered for recognition, especially if it is perhaps out of region or just a further distance away in general. We the panelists believe that you should have the luxury to know before going into a tournament whether or not it will weigh heavily on your potential standings with the PR. If a tournament is NOT listed here and you have a concern as to whether or not it is PR material, then don't hesitate to ask.

Eligibility

In order to better track consistency, it has been decided that you must attend at least 3 tournaments that have been approved by the KY PR's standards in order to even be considered for the PR.

How is it fair that my tournament doesn't qualify for PR, but Chi's does? Chi's tournament essentially had a negative payout!

Besides, everyone knows that everyone is trying all the time, no matter the character, or tournament, or prize. So every tournament should count anyway. My logic is flawless

I see what you're saying.
We the panelists will decide when comparing results what is to be considered a more serious tournament over the other.
The approach to this new thread is to at least set some sort of standard.
$5 entry was to mainly compensate S2D and Chi's tourney league. A lot of PRs have an entry minimum and so I decided to adopt one for this one. If you no like it, you can git out.
But in all seriousness, this state needs some sort of standard and initiative and this is a stab at it. This state could potentially be so strong if we rally together and I'm really hoping the PR can help promote that. It never really had much structure. So here's to structure and experimentation. If this doesn't work, we'll keep adapting until it does.

I found out that their wifi is amazing and almost just like playing offline from what some people said on a livestream.
