numbers mean more than whatever the **** it is you're spewing. that's like saying marth v shiek goes either way.

ummmmmmmmmmm yes... it goes either way. marths can **** up sheik with one ****in grab. the neutral position is tougher than it usually is for marth, but it's ****ing marth dude. OF COURSE IT GOES EITHER GODDAMN WAY. this kind of mentality is EXACTLY MY POINT.


if i mained marth, i wouldn't care about the balance of who ****s who the most, i'd just try to know everything that sheik is capable of and what i can do to beat her. the numbers are certainly superfluous in comparison. i believe that match-up numbers just weigh on people's minds, they can discourage, and they promote counterpicking which can easily slow your growth as a smasher because you are relying on character strengths instead of your own.


you think COSMO gives a **** about match ups? no he just beats the **** out of n****z with his sparkly toes.


i know there's a time and place, just like there is for anything, but that doesn't mean i can't voice contempt when i feel like something that is marginally good is being abused beyond its limits.


i also know that tiers exist. but that doesn't mean that they aren't for queers.

creativity is what's so exciting about these games... making and destroying things for your opponent to see or to not see. i got the same «URK» sort of feeling when i read slasher's statement, so i'm glad someone put it into good terms...



for me, it's clear that super smash brothers: melee isn't a fighting game. for the sake of english, we'll call it one, but it def needs to have its own category. i think i'll call it.. super smash brothers: melee.




also, yes. shoutouts to TJ. oh my god you are raw imaginative material and it's bright and beautiful.

I find it strange that you talk about creativity and I've done the exact same a few hours ago to one of my apprentices.. I'm sure the world is linked in someway. =P I was saying how beautiful it is that when I fight an opponent I can generally feel what the opponent is feeling during the match.. which is a nice pleasure I've found. lol. And then talking about playing how you want to play not what others want from you... Things like that will never make me quit ever.
