People don't realize how complicated the prs are. You see, say Cam above THO regardless of THO beating Cam at Asheboro and think there's a problem. Head to head data isn't the only thing we use to compile the list.

I'd ask people like Boss Hog and Theo to state specifically what they think is wrong with the list, but it's basically a lost cause. Oh, and people probably think it would be rude. Pfft.

At Duke I lost to DJ Rome in a close MM Ganon vs Sheik. 1st match I 3 stocked him on ys, 2nd match was close and I got sheik slapped ftw on bf, 3rd match DJ had me up to over 100% by the time I took his 3rd stock, almost had a run on his last stock where I managed to stomp and grab him. I chaingrabbed him maybe 3-4 times and goofed up. He got away and ftilt/punched me off lol.

I beat Darksyde's Fox/Falcon in a best of 3 MM, then I wanted to go MM someone else and we had an argument because he wanted to do a double or nothing really bad and I wanted to MM someone else. After he said he was going to lose all respect for me if I didn't play again I was irritated and just played but I didn't really try (didn't want him to freak out and throw his controller again) and he won.

I had a really close MM with Cam's Falco, it came down to the 3rd match last stocks and Cam had an unfortunate death, then he phantasm'd off the stage at %0 lol. Since that was such a lame ending we had another MM, very close matches and Cam won 2-1.

I beat GofG in a Ganon vs ICs MM, which was very close. He's gotten better imo.

I beat theo in best of 5 Ganon vs Falcon, most matches were really close.

I think I had a few more but I can't remember lol. NC is getting good.

lol, u know it's true people play worse when the other person yells. i know it's not a rule, but it's at least as distracting as someone waving their hand in your face

I do not buy that you just sandbagged because you were scared of how I would react.
don't make me laugh.

You're one to talk about Johns. I can't help that crybabies get my head out of the game and cause me not to care because they completely take the fun out of it. You were being a **** after I beat you and you know it.

Josh is done with it, so the rest of us should be as well.

Mike holding it down on the PR Qs. Legit. I'll try to help with that if we need to later on.

Nevermind. I'm done with this.
yeah im pretty much done too

there is way too much shiftiness with these and i cant take them seriously as a result

its just that there is no way such drastic changes are accurate, so how am i supposed to honor the list as an accurate reflection of nc talent?

for me, its just a reflection on frequency of attendance and relatively high placement.

the top 4/5 i might accept because its pretty consistent.
other than that, it just goes to hell

the purpose of these prs is to reflect if a tournament were to happen today, what is the expected result based on the past period

NC got more drama then SoVA did about a week ago. It's also funny how most of this come out on Valentine's Day of all days.

How are the changes to the bottom half drastic? By "bottom half" I mean 7 or 8-10, btw.

I'll give the reason for the constant, "drastic" changes to the bottom half. The amount of players viable for a spot excessively widens as the list goes down.

It's the panel's fault that people don't always have consistent results? We can only work with what we have, so if YOU get on there a few times and then get taken off, don't blame us.

Attendance gets you more data, but that doesn't mean it helps anyone. Because people do differently at different tournaments, we update more often so that we can get a look at what people are doing at the moment. If we had to try and take all of these wonky results over a period of 3-5 months, how easy do you think that would be? There'd be wayyy more complaining over that one too.

Karn actually is pretty consistent too. Foxy has always been close to Karn. 8-10 have always been the worst to rank, and there's nothing wrong with competition.

All I have to say about this conversation is that I agree with Cam and DJ being on but why David? He did well at one tournament and skips everything else. I think there are a number of other people (Jim/Seven/Theo) with one or more good showings in the last ranking period.

I do not say this to start drama but having him on the list just seems really random. If someone could please explain that decision to me, that'd be cool.

theo is under the impression that because the bottom of the prs is changing. it's because the players at those positions are similar for skill and vying for position.

The only way to fix this is by taking everyone off the power rankings and making only one spot. I'll go ahead and nominate myself for that spot to keep from argument.

EDIT: Also, I see no rice climbers PP!

u are giving me reasons for the "problem," while im saying that the "problem" lends itself to inaccuracy

therefore, there is little reason to take it seriously

if the bottom few are so hard, I would recommend just doing a top 5.

but if the bottom few spur competition, then by all means ...

but im just saying that I dont think they are "legit" anough to be taken seriously and thus should not rationally have any effect on anyone to want to change them, since any changes are ephemeral at best, unless someone were to somehow jump to second or third spot

tl;dr im not disagreeing with you, just adding on to what you are saying based on what I think (which i dont think some people quite understand)
