At least the amount of NES soundtracks are increasing since I think it was only Metroid (regular and disk system) and Super Mario Bros 1.

The original Zelda will probably have the same treatment as Metroid of having two versions.

Select Player Theme is one of the GOATs though.

It's pretty nice, and even though I've barely played Mario Bros 2, I recognised the song from 3D World.

Which itself will probably be added to the service one day and give me little reason to listen to the original. Generally I prefer to listen modern less compressed versions of songs. I can enjoy 8 bit music in the context of games, but only a select few will I listen to outside of it's context

While I dunno exactly when this happened, they also updated the covers for StreetPass Mii Plaza's All tracks and Top tracks playlists across all languages. They originally cropped the screenshot part poorly, leaving in a bit of those icons for camera-related buttons at the bottom. The Top tracks playlists were also 1040x1024 instead of 1024x1024 for some reason.

Maybe older games since the only Pokemon games included are from 2022.

I'd say it's less likely since they didn't do it at the usual time, but still a decent chance it'll be a Pokémon Presents announcement I suppose.

Would definitely be a Switch game imo, we haven't gotten one this month which is the first time since launch (counting Super Mario Bros. Wonder as a November addition).

I know they're somewhere. I just remember the Xenoblade soundtracks were on streaming services in the past.

Xenoblade (and Pokémon up to and including Let’s Go) are available to purchase digitally.

Edit: Pokemon only covers Gens 3 through 7

I don’t have other music services so I can’t check them.

Next Monday is Mario Day, I'm thinking they're probably saving a major Mario game for that, candidates I can think of are Mario Sunshine (it's the only game from 3D All Stars not yet added), New Super Mario Bros DS, Mario Party 1, Paper Mario 64, Super Mario Bros 3, or Super Mario All-Stars SNES.
