That's exactly what I had when I first made my Ridley's Lair stage, but everyone complained, so I had to change it. And then I decided just to call it Norfair because it wasn't technically Ridley's Lair anymore.
And nice work Caael.
We have to wait for him very long, its true.
He'll be the last one.
So dont wait for a char-update "ridley" ..
He is 100% a secret character .. me and the most ppl think, on the dojo will never get shown a secret char

Pfft. Do you honestly believe anyone is going to take your word for it? And you can't tell me that none of the characters revealed so far aren't just starters. But even if that was the case, what makes you believe Ridley is going to be a hidden or secret character? That's usually reserved for the surprise characters, or WTF guys. Ridey is a shoe in character, and everyone expects him to be in, just like Diddy Kong and Ike, who have already been revealed on the site. To quote my good buddy Caael: "Just because you have an opinion doesn't mean it's right."

Yeah, Ridley strikes me as a secret character too, new character addition to a franchise that already has a new character addition (Zamus) but that doesn't mean he won't appear on the DOJO.

Thats because in Super Metroid half the bosses had that music, and then later on to Zero Mission and Fusion it became only Ridleys. And only happened when your fighting Ridley.

Hey dumbas, that's the title of the song when it was used in Metroid. Why would they use the song but change the name? That's like a band doing a cover song, and then changing the name. It's just stupid, and even stupider that you believe it would happen. I suppose the Yoshi Story Ending song will be used for Yoshi's ending credits huh? Even though Sakurai clearly stated that it would be used for the Yoshi stage.

im pretty sure he'll be a boss but i want him to be a playable character as much as everyone here, i actually think he was supposed to be in SSBM they even changed his appearance as seen in the opening

Both he and Pit were originally intended for Melee, but they had problems animating their wings and Ridley's tail. As seen in the intro, Ridley has no tail if you look closely, and his wings are very stiff.

Why would they even bother making an arrangement for just another random boss? He WILL be a playable, and he'll probably be a boss in some form as well. Betcha Petey doesn't have his own theme

I never said that he was a starter. I'm simply telling you that there's no way to know whether he's a starter or not, and anyone saying that he won't be is basing it off of absolutely nothing, so stop saying he'll be hidden like you know it for a fact. Plasma ftw, I dont like bowsers fire much, sur eit wouldnt be a complete clone move but maybe, maybe like if u just press b giant fireballs shoot out, and if u charge the b, and released, a powerful plasma beam shoots out...
also hoping the greneade shower from MP1 (gypsy dont start, u dont like prime i dont care, the move can work), intstead of an up b, just give him multiple jumps, and if he attacks from a high upper place, the greneades have mroe effect since they scatter more easily...
Play mp1 vs ridley and ull see what im talking about...

Screw cookies. I'm tired of Shuma being a douche and starting a flame war with me, and then calling me the instigator. Grow up Shuma.
And Ridley can't drop the grenades unless he's Meta Ridley, because Meta Ridley is the one equipped with weapons and what not. That'd be like giving Zero Suit Samus missles and beams. It's impossible.

Oh no, I just had a sad thought.
I am a big supporter of Ridley being playable for Brawl, but I just went back to the dojo and looked at the music section, and now I'm not so sure Ridley will be in.
On the Dojo, K.K. Rider is the only music that is confirmed to play in a stage (except the Menu music), and none of the other music even mentions a stage in it's description (again, except for Battlefield), so we can't assume any other music will be for a stage. However, On the Metroid music, it says: "Metroid: Boss Battle Music (Ridley Fight)"
Since they just released Petey Pirahna as an official boss to appear in adventure mode, and thereby confirming that bosses even exist in Brawl, I fear that Ridley may also be a boss in adventure mode. Due to the wording of the Metroid music's title, IMO, the title reads like it specifies that this is the music that will play during the player's fight with the boss, Ridley, as opposed to the title just being nothing more than a title that tell of the Ridley theme in its writing.
Maybe I am picking it apart too much, but hear me out. If it was just a title with a Ridley theme, wouldn't it say "Metroid: Ridley Theme" or "Metroid: Ridley Fight?" Since it says "Metroid: Boss Battle" and then specifies with parentheses that it is the Ridley Fight music, I have a bad feeling that Ridley is going to be a boss, and not a playable character.
Then again, I could be wrong, and there is no guarantee that some or all bosses will/won't be playable characters. I just think if Ridley is a boss and then also winds up playable, too, then what happens when you play adventure mode as Ridley? Would you fight yourself as a boss, or would adventure mode be tailored specifically to each character to avoid this issue?
I hope Ridley makes it as playable! He seems like he would be so fun, and metroid could use another longstanding representative, and he would be good to advertise for Metroid Prime 3 since he appears in it.
