Stats about NJ SSBM from the past 365 days using the garpr database (as of Nov 4th 2016)

these are very conservative estimates with regard to events. reality is almost certaintly more events and events per week for both 2016 and 2015
  • Well over a thousand unique players entered events in New Jersey in the last 365 days (no good estimate)
  • Rough estimate of ~1300 unique NJ players have entered at least two NJ events within the last 4 years
  • Of these, ~850 of them are NJ players who attended at least two events in the last 365 days. ~580 of them have attended at least three. ~465 have attended at least four.
  • ~160 NJ players averaged at least one event per month in the past 365 days
  • ~390 events have been hosted in NJ in the last 365 days
  • ~15 of these events were regionals or larger
  • NJ averaged ~7.5 events per week over the last 365 days
  • In 2015 ~235 events were hosted in NJ which is an average of ~4.5 events each week
  • NJ is the most densely populated state with ~9 million people (1210 ppl/mi^2 )
Just for fun, here is a rough statewide & lifetime ranking of all NJ players that have been to at least 2 events in the past 365 days. Computed with Trueskill/GarPR using 600+ results from events in and around NJ from as far back as 2012. (VERY ROUGH DRAFT. Several inaccuracies and several duplicates/out of region players, but gives a good general idea of skill spread)
