The Megaman.exe for (Or against) brawl thread

Mega Man and Megaman.exe are two completely different characters, so they deserve separate threads.

If you want .exe for brawl don't post in the Mega man thread, post here instead! This threads also includes the Star Fail Star Force Mega man.

I still say Megaman EXE is pretty much a shoe-in for one of megaman's alt costumes, since color changes would most likely be used for a copy attack.

I really only support the original and X. The rest, especially .exe, have to be some of the ugliest Mega Man costumes I've ever seen. The original or X are the only ones making it in anyway, since they are the most recognizable and have the most history with Nintendo.

^^Megaman Zero didn't look to bad, and ZX was cool because it let you play as all the Megaman Zero guardians. ZX Advent was kinda wierd, though.

It would allow ZX but it's just too new of a series. If Brawl was out in 2012 and we were up to ZX 5 then I would have no issues with Grey/Ashe/Alie/Vent being in.

And I just dislike EXE/SF/Zero with a passion.

IMO Classic MM is more iconic and maybe more likely but (also IMO) MM EXE would be more unique.

1. I'm going to be conceited and assume this thread is at least partly to keep me out of the megaman thread. This makes me feel proud.

2. This is very biased. Star Force Megaman and EXE are not the same and can be talked about here but not in the megaman forum(Which by the way notes exe in the first post)? This is just more megaman fanboy elitism.

3. EXE for brawl.

4. I could be wrong but are X and classic the same megaman? If not then there should be a seperate X thread. There probably already is but X is still talke dabout a ton in the main Megaman thread.

5. I am so sick of people calling Star Force "Starfail". I suppose they are allowed to and I respect their opinion but my god it is so obnoxious and immature.

Quoted for truth. I don't see how people think X has a chance at all. I like him, but he is too much related to Playstation. He only had 3 games on the SNES (6 games on Sony platforms, and those seem to be more popular) while classic had 8 MM1-7 + Mega Man and Bass. (9 if you count the anniversary collection...which had 2 arcade games on it.)
I hate to say it, but Star Force seems to have a near equal chance as Classic Mega Man making it.. The others practically stand no chance. Will Sakurai give credit and revive a great series that remains a legendary title on the NES, or will he advertise for a new spin off series that probably won't last another 2 years? I hope for Classic, for all of our sake. Hope for an awesome stage with several music additions too.

. . . I only prised sandman when he turned out to be correct in his "it's me against the world with the odds of Squirt being a character" support. I didn't partake in his debate afterwards. . . .and why are you asking me this?

And I say that mainly because, from what I know, exe has yet to actually be in a fighting game well Classic has. I see it as all too likely that they would use some or alot of his moves from that game (I didn't like does moves, looked lame) for his move-set well exe would more likely have to be made from the ground up (plus, all those chip upgrade things would be interesting for a move-set with the beam sword and what not).

I just don't want another Sonic. . .as in, in their quest to stay true to the character they end up boxing him into one main thing about his character (blaster arm for MM).

It's like, Sonic seems coo and all but he has soo many spin attacks that it's not even funny (not complaining but that is alot of spin attacks). I simply want a 3rd party character to be as flashy and show-offy as they can be (see Snake) and if that means using exe and chips than so be it.

But of course thats coming from me, someone who aint a big MM buff and doesn't follow the series much (the only reason I remember both classic and exe is because of their cartoons). I simply look at the two and see much more "focus on the arm blaster" with classic than with exe who I see having more off the wall attacks.

If you know of a reasonable move-set that doesn't use the blaster like Sonic uses spins (and when I say reasonable I mean that it's not a leap of fath to think he would do w/e attack. Like, even thou Lucario can learn water pulse it does not mean he should do it (I think you might like Lucario. . .)) than feel free to post it. I would love to see what actual MM fans think are good moves for Classic.

Why would they put in .Exe when they could just put in the original... or X... or Trigger (Legends).

The original for classic feel, X for cool factor, and Trigger cause he's the only one with an actual personality and character depth.

I had my fill of Trigger in crossovers with Namco X Capcom. The original is the only one that is truly important with regard to Nintendo history. Plus, he has better AT material. As much as I like Zero, Roll makes a much better assist trophy than Zero, though I don't know what she'd do. There's always Beat, Rush, Protoman, and Bass though.

Anyways, you do realize how many robot masters there are in Mega mans games? They could use a copy ability or just incorporate some robot master powers into his move set.

Dont flatter yourself. There are a lot more people who support .exe for brawl. This thread was made so that you can talk about the non-Mega man-Mega man and so we could talk abvout Mega man.
