So I realize that Xanadu is prolly the next tourny we're going to (and I'll prolly only make it because it's instate since I work that day) but the next weekend I really have off (friday to monday) is Labor Day weekend. I was looking at what's listed and saw two things

Chibo's next thing, which is supposed to have melee as well. This may be a bad idea due to prior experiences, but you never know, and we've already been up to Jersey a few times.

No Johns, which would prolly have better tournout but is in NY.

Thoughts?

I'd be all for No Johns if someone other than me was willing to drive. Not really interested in another Chibo Brawl tourney, even with Melee as a side event.

I'm going to have to agree with JCz on this one, none of those Smash options seem appealing. The NY one is only very slightly appealing to me on the off-chance that we're close enough to Guru that we can hang out with him. But I certainly don't want to drive all the way to NY, and JCz doesn't want to drive, and I'm not going in your AC-less car . And Count Kaiser doesn't have a car, so we're ****ed.

Second, no, I can't make it. Fall baseball practice (new guys are showing up to tryout for next year's team) is noon on Saturday, and I have to pack for vacation in Myrtle Beach. I leave for vacation Sunday at 5am and won't get back until sometime Thursday evening.

Third, uh... hmm... I don't have another totally awesome excuse, but if it was the following weekend and not this weekend, I'd be totally down and would blow off baseball practice.

Going through rt 27 south bypasses most of the really ****ty traffic if that's accessible to you. You skip the entirety of 95 and the majority of 495. I've also never had bad experiences with 270 in any way. The rest of 495 and 66 will be stupid though.
