I've been watching some Brawl stuff lately. When no one's camping, planking, throwing **** from the edge of the stage....it looks okay. But when that starts happening it gets really, really bad...

Which happens all the time. No exception.
People play to win, and that's the best way to win in that game. Hell, that style of play has even been creeping into Melee since Brawl came out. Hello boring as hell Peach/Jiggs matches, goodbye everyone being super aggro crazy (even previous characters that relied on being aggressive like Fox and Falco got much campier since Brawl).

But you can help me with something. We're doing fantasy football at our work. I've never done fantasy football before, but I want to draft a team of the biggest *****es in the NFL for lulz. Being as how I'm new to football in general though, I'm not familiar with which players are huge *****es besides Tom Brady and Ben Rothelisberger. Can you give me a run down of the biggest *****es currently active?

EDIT: Oh goodness, I completely forgot to reply to Tant. I remember seeing that at work, but I had no way to view the objections on my phone.
Anyway you're right, it did progress Melee's metagame. It's not in a direction that I would've liked to have seen it go, but objectively it made Melee's players play better and smarter. In that respect it was beneficial.
As much as I joke around about Brawl being bad, I don't really think it's a bad game outright (although there were a number of questionable decisions such as random tripping, mapping footstools to the same button as jumping, non-tumble DI, and many of the decisions involving Pokemon Trainer), but for my tastes it's simply a more boring one compared to Melee. If people have fun with Brawl, that's their prerogative, I merely enjoy a game that's more fast-paced and has a greater emphasis on being technically demanding. Why play something I gather less pleasure from playing when there's a perfectly good alternative that I can play and have more fun? That's the reason I moved from Brawl to Brawl+, from Brawl+ to Project M, and the reason I stay with Project M over Melee (because even though Melee is better than Project M, I find Project M more fun due to a MUCH greater amount of characters I'd rather play as well as everything aesthetically from Brawl that I prefer over Melee's aesthetics).
That still doesn't detract from my original point that camping/planking/throwing **** form the ledge is going to happen in any remotely high-level match no matter what. It's the most effective way to win. I don't mean to imply any judgment on that statement - good or bad - it's just objectively the way it is due to the nature of the game.
Of course this is assuming that Guy wants/tries to enjoy Brawl at a high level of play. I may be wrong and he may get enjoyment out of relative scrubs not camping/planking/throwing **** from the ledge.

So I only have a present for Oliver. Brett, I looked for anything Chrono Trigger-related and I didn't see anything. I did, however, see an official mini ROB keychain from Nintendo, but since it's like an artifact, it was extremely expensive.

I dunno why people still argue Melee vs Brawl. Sakurai said himself that he made Brawl easier and less competitive than Melee on purpose (as if it wasn't obvious from **** like random tripping and no non-tumble DI). People have fun with Brawl, and that's fine (it is more accessible to new and lower-skilled players, it was made to be), but Melee is objectively the better competitive game, case closed.

In reply to Brawl/Melee, I don't hate on Melee or anything of the sort. I'm glad you agree about brawl being a good game at some level. It is!
At any rate, there is a brawl/melee xanadu coming up, you all should go. There will be room for Project:M of course...

I'd be glad to have you over, but do know that I still have my meeting on Saturday (which I can't do anything about). Not only that, but Clyde and Seb invited me to go out after that as well. I know you're not very fond of going out, and honestly I just rather Smash, but I owe Clyde $60 and I'd rather get that taken care of ASAP. Maybe we can make a quick trip to Seb's house so that I can pay off Clyde but head home soon after? Maybe play some Melee while we're there?

In all actuality, I dunno. It'd be cool to go to Prime Time maybe? Not necessarily teeming with *****es, but there is booze and some *****es and it's not a club so I think even JCz won't abhor the notion. Depends on what our birthday boy wants to do though.
