Since you mentioned a couple of things in the CCI thread I wanted to quickly point out re: Mr. Concon vs OCEAN that the latter likely has some crucial experience against Ron's Luigi. He may actually have beaten him at some point but even if he didn't it's something that could very well end up tipping the matchup in OCEAN's favor.

Let's go Cat and Scizor! If either one of them makes it out of pools I'll be popping off so hard.

Something I'm noticing is that all three japanese Duck Hunts are projected 2nd in their pool, but all 3 of them could possibly beat the player they're playing aganist (All three of their opponents probably have little Duck Hunt experience, all three are at similar skill levels, and none of those matchups are really bad for DH.)

Brood can beat DK Will.I'd be a little more confident in the other two if their roles were reversed. Raito recently beat Kome, so he could handle Tremendo Dude and have an even MU against Diddy/JJ Rockets. Raito has beaten Kameme before, which is a good indicator against Scatt, but it was a bo3 set in which he lost once to Megaman and won twice against Kameme's Cloud.

Still tho, I'm itchin for all 3 dogs to get out. Cagt, the New England Little Mac in You3's pool, can be a good contender to upset You3. He's been on the come up and I'm his training partner, and coincidentally, of the 3 DHs, I play the most like You3.

If JJ ends up facing You3, I'd say You3 over JJ. He's said it himself that he's bad at the matchup, and he's projected to play Brood; seems he just can't escape the dog.

Pasted from GameFAQs. Wrote this up in 30 mins

smash 4 fantasy league guide for GENESIS 4

Somebody should do a guide for 64. I'm sure Pikachu or Fire will have something like this up for Melee.

Steal 10$ picks:

Best:
-Light (NE Fox. Will definitely beat Soronie, could theoretically upset Abadango.)
-Raito (how the **** is he 10$ lmao)
-S1 (Good Dutch Ness. Might upset Marss.)
-Koolaid (Got 3rd at Key to GENESIS)
-Zex (Could upset Fatality.)
-Dragon (Ecuador Sheik, went to game 5 with Dabuz at GENESIS Saga.)
-Cat (Dutch Link. Beat Rich Brown at MSM 81)

Worth looking into:
-JaySon
-ApologyMan
-Teb
-TLTC
-Jtails
-Max Ketchum
-Slither2Hunter
-PWRUP | Pollo (VEGAS MARTH. Not the Bowser. The infographic of pools projections with characters going around got this wrong.)
-Z (Canada)
-Lycan
-BANG!
-Waymas

don't pick these lol:

DKWill - He'll get trounced by Brood.

OCEAN - OCEANman FeelsBadMan Take me to the pools FeelsBadMan Where I'll drown FeelsBadMan OCEANman FeelsBadMan The voyage to the exit of the venue is a real trip FeelsBadMan

RAIN - Does bad internationally.

Regi - Severely overrated player. Got 65th at ZeRo Saga, 17th at Key to GENESIS. No indication he'll do well, probably won't make it past Charliedaking, let alone Ally. If he was cheap I'd recommend it but 130$? No, too many other reliable picks.

Cacogen - Last national performance included getting beaten by DKBill.

K9sbruce - Does poorly at majors, generally.

Dabuz - Has to fight both Komorikiri and MKLeo. Bad recent performances. Not worth it.

MKLeo - Really risky pick because he fights Salem early. He has a Bayonetta problem so I don't think it'll go well.

FOW - Pool R2 has Dabuz in it lol.

Samsora - Has both Ito and Abadango in his eventual bracket.

Zinoto - Tempting, but he doesn't do great at majors outside of that one CEO run.

Wildcard picks:
-Mr. E
-Fatality
-Nyanko
-JK
-Captain L
-Zenyou

My personal picks:

1: ZeRo
2: Nairo
3: VoiD
4: Komorikiri
5: Earth
6: Javi
7: Kuro
8: S1
9: Dragon
10: Raito
11: Zex
12: Light

Based on brackets for the top picks, based more on upset potential for the others.

90$ left over. Might look into a pick to replace Zex. Dragon and Raito are your big steal 10$ picks imo.

I didn't know they had a fantasy league for smash players. I knew they had it for other sports (I haven't been living under a rock after all) but for smash players? Does anyone agree with the predictions there?

Raito, Dragon and S1 at $10 is just ridiculous lol. All must-haves imo.

Really hoping to see a character outside of the usual top 11 make it to top 8. And please not Esam again. Here's hoping Ranai or Kameme can breakthrough this weekend

I replaced Zex with You3. I feel more confident in that after he 2-0'd Ito.

Trevonte is an okay pick I guess but I really don't expect him to beat Javi. If he does, he might go far, so I agree he's a wildcard pick

Trevonte > Javi wouldn't be major upset, especially since it's either gonna be Cloud vs Sheik or a Sheik ditto. Totally doable for Trev.

Everytime Dath, who apparently is playing with smash stick, misinputs a jumpcanceled Upsmash out of Downthrow something inside of me dies.

I mean, smash stick with Robin, really?
At these times I'm seriously questioning if he is playing to win at all ...

According to people who where there it was with D3. D3 vs. MK is a trash MU for D3 (maybe one of the worst in the game) so I have no idea how it happened.

Komo beat Koolaid but each game was last hit apparently, 2-1 Komo.

TLTC says it was

Big D :4dedede: > Tyrant :4metaknight:
Tyrant :4diddy: > Big D :4dedede:
Big D :4mario: > Tyrant :4diddy:

Pacific Northwest officially good now I guess

Whats the basis for D3 vs MK being one the worst in the game?
Like I get MK can avoid most things but MK edgeguarding is restricted vs D3, Metaknights fairly short range = more chance of a unfavourable gordo interaction, also being very light makes D3 ledgetrap extremely potent on MK (Who has average at best ledge options)

Tourney's like an hour old and we already have two major upsets. This will be a glorious weekend.
