One of the notable changes is to Dark Dive, which is more effective as a KO move. Dark Vault is also stronger, but KOs later than Dark Dive.

Warlock Thrust no longer sucks, as the sweetspots now offer more knockback than even Ganondorf's weakest standard attacks. The reverse Warlock Thrust even rivals an uncharged f-smash at making KOs at the stage center. Even the sourspots offer better knockback, though they would still KO later than the sweetspot hits.

Warlock Blade also gets modified in that the sweetspot hits are more damaging than Warlock Punch, and can KO earlier than the ground Warlock Punch as well. However, the sourspots are less damaging, and have far less knockback, often struggling to make KOs until the opponents take over 200% damage. On a side note, an aerial reverse Warlock Punch still KOs sooner than the reverse Warlock Blade's sweetspot. As usual, the tip of the blade is the most powerful, so you want to hit with the blade's tip for high damage and knockback.

Wizard's Assault becomes the strongest Wizard's Foot variant, sending opponents flying at a 75 degree angle on the ground. The aerial variant can send opponents straight down during the first set of hitboxes, surpassing even the down aerial's meteor smash properties.
