So the tournament was played on Saturday evening. Sadly we had no time for teams this time, but we all know Fat Patrol would have been unstoppable.

I e-mailed the Nintendo people. I want to know if they really will be at DigiExpo this year as well. More importantly I need to know if they'll have an SSBM tournament again, this time with appropriate rules!

Everyone, make sure you don't get yourself entangled in anything on the weekend 4th to 6th of November.

Yeah DigiExpo. In Helsinki Fair Centre (our homefield, no defeating us here!).

It's 4th to 6th November. Last year AMO (Finnish Nintendo importer) had a department there, and they hosted an SSBM tournament with Nintendo gear as prizes. This year there will hopefully be another tournament.

If other crews apart from Silver Alliance show up, we'll play crew matches. Just make sure you bring first aid kits with you, it's not going to pretty.

Um, no idea. Last year the winner got to go to Nintendo of Finland's HQ to try out a DS months before it came out. The top 3 also got some software prizes. But I have no idea what it could be this year (still not sure if there even is a tournament).

MasterTK told me you have started using Fox. That's OK, but let me tell you this: stick with Young Link. Young Link is very cool, and you are good with him. Just learn to L-cancel everything, start playing faster and practice edgeguarding. Then it's done and you'll take 20 stock off Vantaa next time.

maybe I thought his main was sheik because I won his young link
quite easily, but I used fox and that match up isn't that even.. :D
he does have a great YL, what I saw from the crew matches, his YL would rabe my link! :D

and MasterTK, your falco is really impressing, your playing style gave me
inspiration to start training with falco more, and I have improved in
technical skills, I can't say anything about my mindgames cause I really
don't get much chance to play against humans, but maybe some falco dittos in digiexpo or RN6? would be great to get to play against you outside the tournaments, or anyone at all, I really need the practice with human players!

you really did impress me with your game, I was really surprised I won your sheik, it was probably the longest set in Rautanyrkki5! :D I have never been in such panic as then! :D

Im back from my vacation in america, it was fun though/because ( ) it wasn´t smash oriented.

Helios: What I would with you is take that cockyness of yours and use it ratherly a bit on the opposite sex. Maybe then there would be more good players in sweden too.


what we need is a good Kirby,Marth,Roy,G&W and a DK in Finland... would be more variety.

Yeah...

#1 Kirby might be Phenom or ChronoT. I dunno how well my Kirby fares against others, at least I beat VilNess' Bowser (which is good!). Roni has a pretty good Kirby as well (his 2nd best character).

#1 Marth player is probably our very own Roni, haha. At DigiExpo he'll be better than at RN5. His Marth is definitely not best in Finland, at least mine, Ijuka's and MasterTK's are better.

#1 Roy so far has been that guy from Espoo who took 2nd place at DigiExpo 2004. I actually consider my Roy to be pretty good, I've even beaten Ijuka's Sheik.

For G&W there are those 2 brothers. One of them was at DE04, he wasn't very good though... VilNess has a good G&W, mine isn't awful either.

Panu's DK is good. It's like his 3rd best character and definitely his character in low tier tourneys. Mine is about the same, I have generally better mindgames than Panu so mine might be better, even though Panu's is more specialised.

I'm thinking of going lower tier at DE this year, except against the best like Ijuka, KVF and MasterTK. I'm not even that big a tierwhore usually with Samus and Ganondorf, but I was thinking about playing Ice Climbers/Jigglypuff/Link/DK/Yoshi/Kirby/G&W/Bowser. Roy would be on the list, but me using him at a tourney would make newbies stick to their belief that Roy is best in the game. Young Link I don't need to play with NHJ around, he's better.

Also my Marth should be as good as WMK´s and Ijukas, I did play him a bit in RN5, I did good against NHJ´s Young link for example (nevertheless good YL you have by the way )
and I also played against Tabsa Ganon, Im don´t remember who won that though (I think it was tabsa)

an average marth player, if I had the inspiration to train with him, but I already
have c. falcon, falco, fox and link, marth comes next...
do I remember right that I beat your bowser VilNess??!! though I did lose the next match... :D and I won your luigi too a couple times, it is just wacky that louie!!
well, more training in technical skills, mindgames come when I get to play u guys!

I'm kinda thinking that Young Link > Bowser. YL can spam pretty well, and also edgeguard Bowser nicely.

We had a showdown today for 3rd best in Metsälä. It's Roni, at least for now. We'll see how good he gets for DigiExpo. I'm predicting a top10 placing for him there.

By the way, who are coming? Me and Panu are set, the rest of our crew should make it as well but that is still pending. MasterTK is coming, NHJ coming with him I guess along with TK's brother I think. KVF coming I hope. No word from Ijuka yet. The Vantaa people will probably come again as long as they know about it. I'm also hoping for the Espoo guys to come, they took 1st and 2nd place last year.
