Effect of Dynamite Headdy on a Smasher

WHO IS DYNAMITE HEADDY?
Dynamite Headdy, (also known as Dynamate Headdy and Dynamite Headass) is the titular protagonist of the 1994 cult classic 'Dynamite Headdy,' for the Sega Genesis.
The widely acclaimed platformer, which was released over a year before Rayman made his own debut, featured a protagonist who primarily attacked by lobbing his head like a bowling ball. With unique level design, bosses, and a stellar main character, it's little surprise that this character has massive demand to be a DLC character for Fighter Pass 2.

WHY SHOULD HE MAKE IT IN?
Dynamite Headdy is a game with enough weirdness and artistic flair to give the Mother series a run for its money, and is arguably one of the most creative games of all time. It has its own unique identity in gaming, and as such deserves representation as a gaming all-star. Don't believe me? Name a single boss here that doesn't make you feel like you're on an acid trip. And with solid sound design and music, you can certainly put together a fire collection of tracks his fighter pack. And let's re-evaluate this dudes design for a second. He's a headless puppet with no neck and a bird beak and bow tie. He's like the Potara fusion of Rayman and Geno complete with the required swagger.
(not saying those guys shouldn't also make it in..but c'mon...would you really prefer a boring Goku to a insanely badass Vegito?)

THIRD-PARTY STATUS
So let's breakdown how likely this chill crusader really is. He's owned by Sega, obviously, and is more probable than you might think. We already have three Sega characters in the game (:ultsonic::ultbayonetta::ultjoker:) and he'd make an excellent 4th. I don't see any chance for an SMT 5 rep or a Bayonetta 3 character, so that mostly leaves the Sonic franchise. But even with the spirit rule destroyed, I don't see Tails or Eggman as particularly plausible. Sonic already is already quite prevalent with tons of music, a Green Hill stage, and the character winning every online tournament in existence. Additionally, Sega has announced a new Alex Kidd game for 2021, showing an interest in older franchises. And if you want to drum up interest in older series to become a company that puts out more than a new disappointment every year, why not generate interest in Dynamite Headdy? The game was/is critically beloved and iconic, if a bit obscure. But considering how the first fighter pass (and Min Min) was full of characters who were all 'whos' to some crowd, I think relevance is a tired and weak argument.
FIGHTER PACK OFFERINGS

Aside from the aforementioned music, Dynamite Headdy's pack could offer a couple things.
1. Spirits of Trouble Bruin, Dark Demon, Heather and other Stage Bosses
2. Tons of ideas for stages (Towers, towns, the abyss, etc) that could be part of a transforming arena like the Paper Mario stage
3. Spirits of other Sega characters like Alex Kidd, Billy Hatcher, Amigo, AiAi, and Ulala
SAKURAI'S CRITERIA

Commercial Success: What makes Super Smash Bros. sell like crazy.
Every character Sakurai picks motivates at least some people to buy the game (:ultcorrin::ultmiifighters::ultwiifittrainer::ultrob:)

Character Uniqueness: (This is the part where I put all the Fire Emblem characters)

The Characters Must Play Into Game Balance: (:ultkirby::ultpikachu::ultmetaknight::ultbayonetta:)

The Character Must Fit the Game's Style: (:ultsnake:)
MOVESET POTENTIAL
Movesets: The true meritocracy of Smash Brothers. These are the facts when it comes to character's movesets in Smash.
1. Sakurai never repeats concepts. There is only one character who is a heavy grappler who uses claws and fire and has an agressive persona (:ultbowser::ultincineroar:)

2. Characters who are not echoes all have unique specials (:ultmarth::ultroy::ultike:)
WHAT THIS MEANS FOR DYNAMITE HEADDY
Literally nothing, because the rules themselves mean nothing. Sakurai does what he wants. Headdy has like 18 power ups and is pretty cool and unique. He can definitely have a full moveset and he'll get in if Sega pushes hard enough. Maybe we'll see him as DLC. Hopefully you now want to see him as DLC. End thread.
