The Brawl intro

Does anyone here think that the brawl introduction is going to match up to the melee introduction? The melee one was expertly crafted, granted it did slip up a bit in the end with real time game footage in a smooth pre-rendered world, but none the less it was pretty awesome.
How would brawl match up to that? I, personally, am interested in how the newcomers will be integrated into the movie.

I really liked the 64 version myself. I didn't think the melee intro was really that great except for the graphics. This one will definitely be epic though.

Zombie, near the end there is a lot of in-game footage (captin falcon gesturing, Peach looking behind her as Pikachu(?) walks up....and so on.

Are you Kidding me?! Brawl intro will be amazing, I can picture it now. It'll start of with Cap. Falcon about to be struck by lightning, but he'll will eat it.... LITERALLY. And in the process his hair will catch on fire bursting through his helmet. Oh, he'll also be making all his grunting noises too.

The intro doesn't change, Jigglypuff appears in the movie even though she's unlockable.

I thought it was the 64 one that changed when you unlocked characters. I remember there being silhouetted characters at the end and when you unlocked them they were in their respective places...

The Melee intro was created becuase of the insane popularity Smash was getting. Seeign how the product was going to be of the highest popularity, Nitnedo knew they had to make a lasting impression, so they hired an outer studio to do their #D work for the intro. Hideo Kojima does this very frequently, namely the opening to Metal Gear SOlid: Twin Snakes.

Expect the same to happen, on an even bigger and better scale.

yeah at the end of the 64 one the four secret characters came flying at each other in a flash but unless you unlocked them they were silhouetted

I really love Melee Introduction, so I never got sick of that introduction even I watched for like over 200 to 500 times in many years.

I Really hope that Brawl would surpass Melee Introduction, also I wish that they would do "extra trailer for all of unlockable character" so I am rooting for secret introduction at once you unlocked everything!

I would definitely enjoy seeing an introduction which surpasses the epicness of that of Melee, but still has some 'subtle' changes when characters are unlocked, just like in the 64 version.

Melee's intro is one of the things I as a gamer will always carry with me. I couldn't sit still while watching it and I probably watched it back to back at least 15 times after I saw it for the first time. It was so beautiful, bombastic, exciting and perfectly timed, like an awesome movie trailer only very unexpected coming from Nintendo. I sadly doubt that Brawl will top it in terms of impact and impression (even though it could be prettier/longer/more intense).

Based on what we've ALREADY seen in the very first Brawl trailer as well as the Subspace Emissary clips, I think we can be sure that the Brawl intro will be nothing short of f***ing epic.

That would be freakin' awesome. I would love to have the intro change as you unlock characters...I wouldn't be too surprised if that happened considering how much stuff they have in this game.

If they're gonna have 38+ characters in the game, and can only fit like 25 or so in the intro, it might annoy a few folks. I have faith they will have a second intro after everybody's unlocked. If it doesn't show up when it first loads, it might be in the vault (hopefully along with SSE cutscenes).

I liked the 64 opening too. I remember seeing the flashes of the four hidden characters and guessing who they were. VERY fun.

I think it'll be great. Can you just imagine the epic feeling that will overtake you as you watch the opening movie for the first time, waiting to jump right into the game? It should be breath taking.

I'm really looking forward to what this FMV will be. I loved the opening for Melee, just awesome orchestra. I'm actually predicting that Sakurai will update it on the 24th, with a message like

Obviously, Super Smash Bros. Brawl premieres today in Japan. However, other countries will not receive this game for a while.

Even still, I'd like to give you all something to look at: the opening cut scene! It's the movie that you will see when you first start up the game.

All I know is that the movie will be awesome.The instruction booklet for Brawl will probably be awesome.
