Anyone want to talk about the female characters (official or not)? Then you should come here about your thoughts.

Yep, I think this was brought up earlier but female characters are awesome to play as. Don't know why, its kind of refreshing seeing a girl retaliate against the usual roster of men (if you can call them that). Unfortunately in the original, Samus was the only (for sure) femme fetale (hope I spelled that right) (Jigglypuff is an effeminate pokemon) and in Melee, we had Zelda/Sheik and Peach introduced. I'm hoping there will be at least ten female warriors on the brawl. We already officially have Peach, Zelda, Samus, and her armor-less self.

The others I would like to see introduced would be: Lip, Krystal (everyone knows they want her in), Midna (seems unlikely but possible), Sheik (wonder what the creators did with her), Birdo (yeah its not confirmed Birdo's a girl or guy but it acts very effeminate), Micaiah from Fire Emblem but I'm definitely rooting for Eirika, maybe Ashley from WarioWare, and Captain Syrup (she's the first Nintendo female villian that can have a thinkable movelist). Other possibilities (realistic) for female players in Brawl could be: Athena from Psycho Soldier, Joanna from Perfect Dark (maybe as a third-party but only a .01% chance), and maybe Tetra from the Wind Waker. Paletuna is on my mind too but her size seems like an issue at the moment.

List your thoughts about possible FEMALE characters for Brawl. What do you think about them? Are they hot or not?! Are they the perfect representatives of how far society has come when regarding the video game industry? Voice your voice!! Voice your thoughts!!

I think there was a thread about this earlier. Sorry man, but it's a nice idea.

Captain Syrup is not the first Nintendo Female villain.. and Birdo is a boy that dresses as a female, plus it will just return as a stage hazard hopefully.

Captain Syrup, however, is the first reoccurring girl Nintendo villain.

I don't think being a female should be something that constitutes a character getting into Brawl. A character being deserving has nothing to do with their gender.

Palutena is a part of Pit's Final Smash, she's already been deconfirmed. Plus Ashley doesn't have a chance, why even mention her?

Even if they're negligible, she still has a chance.

The only way to deconfirm them currently is to put them in the BG of a stage, or make them an AT.

I dont see Ashley becoming either of these, therefore the only time well know for sure is Jan 24th.

Hes right however, her chances are so minimal she shouldnt even be mentioned.

One small correction to make to your list of characters.

Birdo is a male transvestite. Don't believe me check the original manual to Super Mario Bros 2 "He thinks he's a girl and he spits eggs from his mouth. He'd rather be called Birdetta."
