Completely avoids discussion about how Kaillera is the reason for smash64's popularity.
Bruh. 64 is getting popular because people are realizing its a great game. This isn't just an 'online game'. Yeah its an easy starting point for some people, and it can be convenient for a few quick matches, but its not 'the reason' people love this game. I personally can't stand playing on Kaillera, and I don't know anyone that actually prefers playing online over console. Kaillera is just a necessary evil that some people have to deal with until they meet enough good 64 players in their region. But those times are changing. Local scenes are popping up everywhere. Its the year of 64.

Argumentum ad populum. Not going to consider reading another word until you can back up your baseless claim. Kaillera had 200+ active random players all playing Smash64 at one point in 2007 before Brawl came out in 2008 which ever since then Kaillera smash64 has gotten smaller. The main reason why smash64 was so played is because it's easily accessible. The smash64 community has always been popular, the people you see coming into tournaments now are casuals who play brawl hacks and fake smash. The top players are all Kaillera players, every single person even the **** played on Kaillera. You have no idea what you're talking about, and never refer to me as "bruh" again..

Coming from a growing scene in which many new players rarely/never play online, and got into the game by playing with their friends on an n64 console, this is definitely not the case. Also, Kaillera = fake smash bruh.

That's why many new players suck, little niggah.

As a melee player primarily with very little 64 knowlegde, Genesis 3 Top 8 for 64 was incredibly hype. Glad to see that story getting a little love.
