This has probably been asked a million times already, but how would I go about texturing the stage editor pieces and the backgrounds included?

Yeah, I just picked up on this today, so I'm not "pro" by any means. I've got Gecko installed, and I've gotten some codes to work at this point, I followed some tutorial and got to the point where I was extracting Kirby parts, with the right directions I'm good to go.

Well, first of all, what files from the game do you have? Do you have a Brawl ISO?

The stage editor textures are located in data>stage>melee on the ISO. There are three files: STGEDIT_0.PAC, STGEDIT_1.PAC, and STGEDIT_2.PAC. Each one of them corresponds with one of the custom stage "themes" (grasslands, ruins, factory).

If you want to make things a lot easier on yourself, use a program with a GUI like BrawlScape or BrawlBox to open the PACs and edit their textures. It'll turn them into a format you can edit with Photoshop and then convert them back into a format Brawl can read. Then you'll be able to put the resulting files on your SD card.

The Workshop Welcome Wagon has a nice directory of threads relating to texture mods, I suggest you check it out as well if you have any further questions.
