Texture working on my friend's wii but not mine?

Hey, I come seeking help from you guys and gals.

Okay so I'm doing texture hacks in brawl but I started applying a bunch on my friends wii but when I loaded everything up at my house and on my wii, some of the textures didn't even load or just crashed the system.
Is there anything that is required that could fix the problem? or is there any sort of solution?
I'm also unsure if I'm posting in the wrong area but it's texture replacement related, so I thought I'd be fine here.

TL;DR: Texture hacks in brawl work on my friend's wii and the same don't work on mine. What can I do?

1. Is it the same SD card? If not, are the same codes/folder set-up/textures present?
2. Is it the Same Gecko OS version?

Also, make sure that Wii Connect 24 is off.

Yeah it's the same SD card with all the same files, that also goes with the gecko.

EDIT: Not all of the non working ones work after I turned off the wii connect 24.

All of the ones I added yesterday at his house worked. Some of those didn't work on mine.
Then I added a few today and those didn't work before I turned off the wiiconnect24. Then there was one that still didn't work afterward.
