Hello everyone. I've made this thread on other platforms before but I felt like I should put this here. I've done a lot of research on what Terry potentially has so far based off the mini gameplay reveal we got in the direct and based off what Terry has in other games. Myself being a King of Fighters and SNK fan, I'm familiar with how Terry works and can already confirm a couple of things already, lets get started.

MOVES:

Does Terry have inputs?
Yes, if you watch the gameplay trailer closely, or even slow it down to watch, Terry crouches before using both Power Wave and Burn Knuckle. In Fatal Fury and King of Fighters, these are both input moves. Terry will most likely be like the Shotos where you can use the moves outside of the inputs, but some moves may be input exclusive, such as Ryu's Shakunetsu Hadoken.

Power Wave: ↓,→,Punch
Burn Knuckle: ↓,←,Punch

(For now lets just assume that "Punch" is A button in Smash)

Does Terry have a Counter?
This confuses some people but no, Terry does not have a counter. When Terry uses Burn Knuckle in the trailer, Marth was already out of range for it to "counter" and Terry's animation where he lifts his arms up and the blue light that appears, are just apart of the animation. As mentioned in the above section, this is an input command, not a counter.

This actually stuns Marth for a while so Burn Knuckle might even be a "meteor effect" move, but probably looks different due to the gameplay angle

What else can we expect from Terry's Moveset / Mechanics?
Terry has had lots of unique moves over the games he's been in and each give his moves new looks or new mechanics. Sakurai does go into detail about character designs, so we can probably expect to see all of Terry's moves in the game in someway.

I think this video will do a better job of explaining what more you can expect from Terry, but I'll still talk about his possible "MAX Meter" mechanic and "Desperation Moves"
Capcom vs SNK Terry's movelist

In King of Fighters, there is a MAX Meter where the more it is charged, buffs your moves temporary buffs you and allows you to use a powerful version of one of your moves. If Terry has his meter completely full, he could use a move like Tripple Geyser, over Power Geyser. It be cool to see if this gets added in the game, but it may have different mechanics completely.

Desperation moves are moves that you can only use in severe situations, such as in a fighting game when your health bar is low. Terry could potentially be able to use desperation moves at higher percents, but I feel this wouldn't be a great mechanic in a game like Smash, since it's percentage based and not life bar based (except Stamina)

This part is speculation, but since every DLC character has had some gimmick or mechanic (Arsene, Wonderwing, Command Menu), it would make sense for Terry to have some "mechanic".

STAGE / MUSIC:

King of Fighters Arena?
Terry's stage is unmistakably a KoF arena with a touch of Smash Bros. There's ads in the background, SNK characters, and more that we'll get into. But first, what is the stage going to be called? Simply KoF arena would make sense, but if we look in the background, we might see something that could give us an idea of the name. If you look closely, the large building in the background may be what is known as Geese Tower. If this is correct, the stage would be called Howard Arena instead.

(enjoy my MS paint arrow)

It's safe to asume that all the characters in the trailer will be background cameos in the arena, so Ryo (Confirmed), Kyo, Iori, Nakoruru, Andy, Joe, and Geese will probably appear in the background and may be the spirit representation for Fatal Fury / King of Fighters

Stage music?
There is already one confirmed song which is Terry's theme. You can hear it in the background after November 2019 shows up here: (Terry's Theme in Background)

Once again, characters that appeared in the trailer will probably get their themes in-game but I'll post a few that I think could get in from SNK, and Capcom as well.

I was going to put a section about spirits here, but there isn't really enough given to work with to speculate what spirits could be added with Terry.

EXTRAS:

Misc / Random Facts

- Ken and Terry have a special animation in CvS where he throws his hat back at him
- The Smash invite was inspired by KoF's invite where the world's strongest fighters would be invited to fight and see who the strongest is
- Sakurai was inspired by King of Fighters to make Smash a simpler, easier fighting game, without KoF, there wouldn't be Smash
- Terry has cameo'd in other games before and was even turned into a woman so they could put him in SNK Heroines (Cutie Terry)
- Terry's brother is Andy and Joe is their friend, together this is Team Fatal Fury

- Terry gets his powers for Ki energy (Earth powers), or basically Goku. This is as close as your getting to him.

Terry on the Smash Mural (Hat Gang):

That's mostly it for all I can find so far, it's possible Terry could release early November, but there's not enough evidence to support that. Terry could come out around the 15th along with the new Amiibo collections which is most likely.
