WHERE THE **** IS EVERYONE FROM THIS AREA!? Brawl is arriving soon, so I'm sad to see this thread so dead.
The Run7 is ready and excited for Brawl like a group of giggling, giddy Japanese school girls. Are we going to be the only ones excited for Brawl? Or is everyone else from Memphis and the surrounding area going to ***** about it not being Melee 2.0? It's a brand new ****ing game. Open up your **** eyes and accept some change. We haven't even had the **** game yet and people are already assuming it sucks. Yes, perhaps I'm being optimistic, but I think there's no reason I shouldn't be. [/end mini rant]

Everyone besides probably me is optimistic. They are all excited and ****. Yup, I am a pessimist at heart and might quit going to tournies or whatever if Brawl's tourney scene is too weak suace (So you guys better be hosting the tournies and going to them >=[ and the characters better not have as much lag as I have been seeing.) I will however keep going to any smashfest near me no matter what cause you guys rule.

It's me making assumptions because I see no posts in any Memphis, TN/TN related topics...which also leads to me trying to save myself, but still. I just hope it starts up again like when INNsomnia first started off. Actually, even more so than that.

i am super pumped for brawl just like everyone else near me so dont give up on Middle TN fizz. and its good that Run7 is gonna be back. Hopefully TWIPL will be strong too!

Well, hopefully we can get this thread a little lively again. I think I'm the only one from the Run7 who has been looking at this recently, but I'd like to see an even larger Brawl scene emerge from Tennessee. *shrugs* I can hope.

Well we went to the streets to see if there were belivers of our product.
Chad and Spaceman agree that this product would be a hit. Ko used it everyday. Hyperdragon now has a dragon if you know what i mean. I'm sure our product will make you larger than life just ask bob

Well I always swore I'd come back some day, and what better time than.. well, a month from now. Hard to say when I've ever felt this excited for a game really, but I guess I should continue waiting patiently until the big day.
Besides, I still have to finish up some other games I told myself I would clear, and I oughta hang out with my TF2 group some more before I randomly vanish from them as well after Brawl's released.

Can't wait to see all of you there. I will just have to see if my Dad will like being alone at my place for almost the whole weekend after having such a long bus trip (since I am guessing you guys will be getting back to Memphis at 5 PM Sunday or so). >_>

I think the two guys I met played Roy and Samus mostly. I played them a few times in one of the side rooms that had a bunch of other games set up.
No offense meant, but, from talking and playing with them, I gathered that none of you guys had been to a tournament before. The Roy player even said he hadn't been playing the game for longer than a week or so. So, how/why did you guys decide to travel all the way to Illinois and pay $75 for your first Melee tournament?

Well I've been playing Smash since Smash 64, but my other friends have only been playing it since Melee. Except for one that might have been the guy playing as Roy. He was only playing it since well...a week like you said. Only reason I went to MELEE-FC was it was the closest tourney near me (that I knew of at the time) and I thought it would be fun. After we got back, all my friends were freaking out at how bad we lost and were like whining and complaning that only one of us could perform advanced techs (it wasn't me) and stuff of that nature. So if I go to another tournament I might just go alone or with friends that don't get pissed off very easily at losing.
