Nevahmind.

Basically what CiTH said. Another thing I noticed was you would use a Fsmash and get shielded when an Ftilt would've been much better (comes out faster, get the hit). Definitely use tilts more. Also, when you got sent flying, I noticed you would use a Dair. Don't use Dair. For the best DI, fastfall a Fair, then recover with DownB or SideB when necessary.

Hmmm, I think it's the same thing as the grab-release glitch Cam, only with a hit on the ground this time.
He hit him off the spring before his invincy frames kicked in, that's my guess.
But since he was hit, and not grab released, he could use B moves again.

using up-b a second time causes the 1st spring to disappear.

:093:
Really? I can almost recall jumping off a grounded spring, than using an aerial one...

Maybe I'm just really tired.

Or a scrub scrub scrub.

thanks fellas, i'll keep those tips in mind.

Edit: actually, now that i think about it (and forgive me for being pathetic), but what are the OoS options? (if you can just point me where to go, much appreciation).

OoS = Out of Shield options.

Like you can jump out of shield and fair, grab out of shield, etc.

Be less predictable use more mindgames and don't use HA (Homing Attack) unless it will hit also don't let people spam you.

pretty much what everyone said.

also try not to use the sidestep dodge too often when close by because it seemed to me that he took advantage of the hit boxes.

You were superflous without substance, imo.

Things u did right: React fast, baited decently with spin cancel

What you did wrong: Dash attack every 5 seconds. Staled it and you took return dmg everytime. Went for some hits that lagged and got you punished.

Not really moar asc, but better. And yas needz to mindgamez moar. less predictibility=profit

i really appreciate the feedback. i've recently taken to training myself to not use spin dash at all to build my skill with the rest of sonic's moveset.

This is actually a really good idea. Mastering the basic moveset is far more important than anything else when you're first learning a character.

Don't neglect Spindash, you're Sonic for gods sake. Use his rolls.
oh far from it. its just at this point from learning and lurking around these boards, the rolls became essentially how i played. everything i did was based around the rolls. i know now i need more.

You might even pull an Anther lol.

0:14 - 0:23
Anther: "After the Sonic boards have yelled at me some more... for playing versus Marth wrong... [wtf is he saying here? sounds like athreematheirway]"
0:24 - 0:32
Anther: "..Use alot less spindashes..."
Ankoku: "Alot less... spindashes???"
[announcer counts down]
Anther: "Yes... and alot more...""
[announcer: "GO!"]
Anther: "of this stuff!"
Anther runs in to grab.....!!!

...and misses!
