TEAM ONLINE BATTLES: Choose Partner wisely

Snake and link or Snake and Pit I think will be valuable allies together.

Snake and Link would be pretty dangerous considering they both have an arsenal of long range attacks. It would be hard to get close them.

I'll be Pit and my friend will be Metaknight. But I'm also maining Mario, I wonder how he'll do in this team considering Pit+Metaknight looks like pure raep to me.

Ya know, I think I'll try to watch which character my friend chooses, and then choose the fitting or opposing team character.

Example: If my friend chooses Link, I'll choose Zelda or Ganondorf. Unlikely combo and likely combo!

Thats a good idea. I try to do that too. It also depends on who im facing. If I was fighting samus or link I would use Kirby,fox, or Zelda. Kirby to copy samus's ability, fox and zelda to reflect. Unless your facing people on your friends list on team battle thats the only way your gonna know who your facing so preparing for a random team fight would be hard. Yeah choosing a character that works with your partners is a good idea.

My friend will be Snake a lot and I'll be Lucas a lot, we'll be a great team, if we ever stop fighting each other! (We're Rivals in Melee and now Brawl.)

As of right now I'm plaining on Maining Ike to partner with someone who wants to be either pit/sonic/metaknight(small town,few people who play competitivly. They seem to be able to work good with Ike, my partner deals the combos while I deal the killing blows. I have know clue who to team up with PT, maybe another PT?

My friend is using Meta, I'll either use Yoshi because I'm good with him, or I'll fill in Metaknight's lack of kill moves by using Ike(if he's at all usable on teams), Bowser or PT (Take advantage of variety)

Theres gonna be so many combinations of different teams. It will be cool to see how people play as a team. How they combine their moves and how they set you up. Where you fight. I should of asked what field would you fight on. Dont have much of a selection right now though maybe thts why I didnt ask.

I'll be either Peach, Pit, PT and Sonic (that ground speed is too much to resist). My twin will most likely use Metaknight, Fox, Marth (if he comes back) and some other character.

Lucas seems pretty tempting to try. BAAH SO MANY COOL CHARACTERS. Probably freeze people and combo them while their frozen. If I got my FS off with Lucas I would probably have someone grab the opponent so they dont run away from the starstorm or I could freeze the opponent then use PK Freeze

it is me and my friend, we go to different schools and have known each other for like 10 years, we are both the best at our own schools. And then we have a third man who is his friend, he is really just a back up, we are all basically the same goodness as each other, and we are entering the tournament scene when brawl comes out. We are very good, and i am not just saying that, i look forward to facing you in the future!

Me and my friend go to the same school and were the best at it. We also live in a small town so not much to brag about. Anyways it will be fun facing off against everyone thats on this forum. Swallow your beautidul moves and killing the guy i got it from is awsome.

(This has nothing to do with anything but i came back from my friends house and we were playing melee. I was kirby and my friend was captain falcon. I had the falcon punch copied and I kick Captain Falcon into the air and use falcon punch and right there and then my friend uses it too and its last life. He got it off first but just skimmed my head and i get mine off and finish him off. I just got an adrenaline rush I just thought I would post it. We also falcon punched eachother canceling eachother out a few times. It was an epic match. Imagine playing against other people in brawl with new updated moves adn combos. GOnna be fun stuff)

Well, there aare certain characters that work better together. For instance:
1. Marth/Roy with Shiek
2. Fox and Luigi
3. C. Falcon and Mewtwo

some oftheir combos work together, we'll all just have to find those on Brawl.

I'm very worried about this mode. Sure team battle will probably let my brother play with me, but what about free for all? Can me and my brother not have a match with people over the internet without teaming up? Free for all > Team battle always (IMO) so if only 1 person per Wii can play Free For All online.... that majorly sucks.

That used to annoy the hell out of me- especially when it came to adding people on wifi as friends, then their real life friend used to pose as someone they didn't know, then they used to team up on me. I think it is completely unfair, but one at a time, my friend.

I have a feeling team online will be used for hours of playing since we can find different opponents, maybe too long sometimes lol. I would defintely play with friends constantly.
